We celebrated our Vow Renewal reception surrounded by our family & friends at The Crown Minchinhampton on August 8th 2025. Where do we start........ We had a vague idea of what we wanted for our reception celebration for our day but after meeting with Manager Victoria and Head Chef Luka their experience and ideas were perfect and hit the nail on the head. The meetings were always relaxed and for us over a hot drink or tipple! Communication was so easy and the whole team ensured that messages were passed on, responses were usually within hours. On the day we walked into the most amazing Mezze - all completely Gluten Free produced by Luka & his Team. This included scotch eggs, meats, cheeses all laid out in the most beautiful way, later on we had a selection of delicious sliders. The massive bowl of Eton Mess and fresh fruit salad spread were to die for. We had so many compliments from our guests about the food and how stunning it looked and tasted. The staff that were allocated to us on the day were so efficient. They ensured everyone had a tipple on arrival and made sure the wine flowed throughout. Having the bar outside and half of the courtyard garden was incredible. We felt so spoilt with the inside and outside spaces providing everything we needed for spending time with all of our guests! We were lucky with the weather but have no doubt with the addition of a gazebo the courtyard's charm could be enjoyed in any weather! All the staff addressed us by name on the day which i thought was lovely, they couldn't of been more polite or tentative. We really can't thank you all enough. Our day was perfect from start to finish, an incredible venue with incredible food & staff!!

Being local, this has become my go-to spot for catching up with friends over drinks or dinner. The team are always welcoming and accommodating, even at short notice!

We chose this pub for our Sunday lunch because we had gone before and the food was exceptional. When we got there, they had not read the email notifying them that we would now be a party of 3 instead of 4 and they had not laid a table for us, despite us booking well in advance. My Mum ordered a Coca-Cola and was given a Coke zero. When she questioned it, she was told it was Coke zero but "we have Coca-Cola if you'd prefer" when that was what she had asked for originally. The roasts was yet again superb and saved this experience. We then ordered two sundaes that took an hour to come, despite Mum mentioning to two different members of staff that we were still waiting for our puddings. When they eventually came, they were covered in raspberry sauce which was not stated on the menu. The menu read: "chocolate brownie sundae". Had I known about the raspberry sauce I wouldn't have ordered it, hence why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for food. The staff were friendly but clueless on this occasion, except one woman who was lovely and professional. It seemed much better organised the last time we went so I'm not sure what was going on. Would definitely go again for the roast, but will not be waiting around for a pudding again.

This place was recommended and what a disappointment. The service was so dreadful. The lady serving us didn't even know what was on the menu. We ordered our drinks and the white wine came with champagne flutes, so asked for wine glasses and was told "I thought they would be more snazzy". Real strange response.

Menu online had a good selection, but was totally different to the menu we were given. Refused to serve a pint of lager to our 18yr old but then proceeded to say he could have a shandy with the meal. Eh? Asked for table water. One glass short. The place was so hot it was uncomfortable. Ordered the crown burger only to be told they had run out (these things happen but their excuse was "a table of 7 all had the burger and they hadn't booked and ordinarily booked tables have priority". Which makes no sense). We were offered fish and chips, which wasn't even on the menu. The food we eventually got was very good but totally marred by the experience To be fair they discounted the food and drinks but made such a fuss about it. got the (only 3) dessert menus and I checked they weren't also short of desserts which was confirmed, only to be then told they ran out of something else when ordering. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared. We weren't asked if our food was OK. The lady knocked over our bottle of water. No apology, just said lucky nothing was in it (I mopped it up with my napkin)..

Apparently both chefs were on holiday - if this is true, what restaurant would do this?! We were not the only table...
