Delicious food! We shared chicken momo and the seafood platter-all good but the salmon and chilli squid were particularly special . The main events (as the friendly and immensely likeable waiter/ proprietor? playfully described ) were even better. Lamb haryali was deliciously ‘lamby’ beautifully tender and in an interesting mildly spiced sauce that really complimented the meat. Hansh Bhutuwa was slow cooked duck in another delicious sauce and Nepali Machha (monkfish in a yellowish sauce with a hint of sourness) quite different but also really good. We took recommendations from the person serving us and had a really good variety of flavours and colours- quite different in flavour to standard Indian restaurant food. The naans were also noteworthy. Next time, I’d like to try some vegetable dishes. I’ve eaten in quite a lot of good authentic Birmingham restaurants and have sometimes been disappointed by more standard Indian restaurant fare outside of the big cities, so this food in a little town in Gloucestershire was a...

I could not recommend this place more! We came here this evening for my dad's 60th birthday meal. I rang ahead and asked if it was okay to bring big 60 balloons along, to which they said yes. From the moment we walked through the door the staff were attentive, friendly, incredibly polite and smartly dressed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The table was by a window, the atmosphere was just lovely. The food was absolutely exceptional. Having grown up in Brunei alongside the gurkha regiment, I was not disappointed! The momos really took me back to my childhood, and the chickpea vegetarian dish I had was so full of flavour, absolutely gorgeous. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant as a vegetarian! Dad loved his lamb dish also. The real cherry on the cake was when the waitors came out with a little ice-cream cake singing happy birthday to my dad, something I hadn't even asked for! Thank you for making this evening so special,...

On our way back to our Tetbury hotel we stopped for dinner at the Everest Nepalese and Indian Restaurant in Dursley and were very impressed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly as we wanted to try the Nepalese dishes. We started with lamb kebab and the momos (steamed dumplings filled with vegetables or meat). The momos were light and fluffy, and served with a delicious dipping sauce.

We then had the recommended Gurkhali chicken and Hansh Bhutuwa (duck breast) and both were really scrummy. With a couple of side dishes, rice and nann bread we were both full to bursting.

Overall, we had a really good meal at the Everest Nepalese and Indian Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant, particularly those looking for more than the standard...

Strength to Strength. We were extremely impressed on our first visit. Tonight the Everest exceeded those first impressions. A warm and friendly atmosphere, reflected from with the attentive service from the staff. Tonight the restaurant was buzzing, food was timely, warm, well presented and above all very tasty. Homemade poppadoms with freshly made pickles, a great appetiser. Chicken shashlik was nothing less than fabulous in both taste and presentation, I enjoyed with a Bhuna sauce on the side. Garlic naan, again fresh well flavoured. My Friend had the lamb fried rice with Bhuteko Khasi (Lamb with garlic, chillies, fresh tomatoes and Nepalese herbs) again divine presentation. I have to say the best Indian subcontinent influenced dining experience I have ever had. Thank you to the Chefs and staff of Everest.

One of the best Indians I ever had that I went on a detour to visit after a long drive. The good - Best lamb shank I have ever had and would highly recommend it if you go here. The momos were very good as well. The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The bad - the samosas we were told were not spicy but definitely were and my partner cannot stand spice. So she had to leave most it. ironically the lam shank had a higher spice rating and she handled it better. One of the waiters was a bit lethargic but was friendly enough didn't seem to care either way. The neutral - the korma was very nice but quite almondy good if you like almonds. We are more of a coconut korma fan. Overall - definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Probably will bring others to experience this amazing place.

We had a great meal The Everest - loved how it’s a little bit different from your usual curry house and the restaurant setting and ambience was spot on. Not quite 5 stars from me I’m afraid as I feel the service could be improved - there were a few young waiters that could do with some extra training. There was also nearly a 45 minute wait between popadoms and starters which was overly excessive. We would definitely return however, as the food was unique and executed really well!
