KFC Pennywell - Chester Road — Restaurant in Sunderland

Great friendly staff food is OK however they need some serious kaizen in their kitchen. The flow of food is slow so sometimes it takes a while for them to make a bag and ship the food to the customers. You need to increase this speed to become more efficient with orders. Also kfc shuts way too early on the way back from work after a late shift and you fancy chicken 🐔 you have to go to macys? 😊 👍 Still nice and I would go again however not if I was in a rush. Update : on this view above we were the only ones in the que and had to wait 15 minutes for a chicken burger today. There is 5 people working in there what are you doing seriously .... You need to change and quickly your speed is super slow! drive through: to also be parked in a bay when there is no que? My mind is blown how slow this one is we timed the food 15 minutes for one meal. It's quicker going anywhere else. Always leave here feel like it's missing something like it's too mechanical not enough kaizen at all. Please sort it out I love kfc but feel like this place needs some...

KFC at Pennywell is absolutely disappointing, staff who served us was so kind and friendly. However that's not what I'm twisting about. Every table was disgusting, they had rubbish all over the tables, half eaten food still left on the tables, floors had more chips on them than behind the counters, the bins were leaking no spillage signs there 😔. I asked someone behind the counter if there was someone to come clean the place up. Her reply was '' oh yes, I'll grab someone to give it a quick clean'' Customers were coming in and walking back out 🙄 it was that bad. it was appalling, our first time there and we have said we aren't returning....

The food was good and the staff eager to please, wiped a table for us even though they were short staffed. However we ordered and paid extra for normal NON DIET Pepsi, the drinks we were given, we believe had sweetners in as the taste was far too sweet to be normal Pepsi. The staff changed the drinks appearing somewhat puzzled for the same again taken from a pump with a normal sign on. As my daughter is ALLERGIC to sweetners we avoid them at all cost and had she drunk this she could have had a nasty reaction. NOT GOOD!! I don't expect to pay for something which is potentially harmful and am very disappointed as our last visit...
