Grindon Dragon — Local services in Sunderland

What can I say!! I ordered my food for collection after work and arrived on time but the food wasn't ready but talked to very nice lady who was serving on the counter who said food wouldn't be long. While waiting you could hear Chinese staff in the kitchen with very raised voices, this then escalated into shouting. At one stage the lady went in to the kitchen to say customers are in the shop but this did nothing to calm the situation. Poor lass came back out and apologized for what was going on. She then went back into the kitchen with a big wooden bat to calm the kitchen staff that were obviously fighting at this stage, the fighting then moved into the shop counter where I got my first hand sight of the scuffle. The poor lass on the counter pushed kitchen staff back into the kitchen and told them to get cooking, she quickly dashed into the kitchen and brought out my food that had obviously been cooked before the 10 min conflict in the kitchen. She packed it up and I did ask is it hot still and was it correct as with all the commotion I knew it would be wrong. She apologized again and I left. When I got home I unpacked takeaway and food felt luke warm to touch and opening I discovered one of the meals wrong. Grindon dragon knew there mistake and rang my mobile and said I gave you the wrong meal and said give me your address and I'll make the incorrect meal again and deliver it, I said the rest was just warm but this fell on deaf ears. I then preceding to eat the Luke warm food with my mother and it was not nice. Chinese food tends to turn to jelly once it goes luke warm to cold and didn't tast very nice. 75% went into the bin. The meal that was being delived for my dad arrived about 40 mins later by a child who knocked on my door who handed the meal over in a bag like it was a rat by the tail. Spent about £27.50 on a meal that wasn't fit for dog to eat. I've gave one star as the lady on the counter deserves it for stopping China enterin the Ukrainian Russian conflict. Personal note I'd have sacked all the kitchen staff on the spot as it was unprofessional for the public to see a bunch of hand bag swinging idiots fighting.

I'm on the fence if I'd ever use Grindon...

I've ordered the same meals for well over a year from here but ordered for years with other stuff but was charged £27.50 for sweet and sour crispy beef salt and pepper crispy noodles which came just dried up noodles no flavour at all, salt and pepper chips which was rotten chips with no taste and a couple of onions also a chicken balls curry sauce and chips in one carton all came separately you really took our eyeballs out there 😡 I stayed away after the posts on Facebook and thought ive had good food in the past ill give them the benefit of the doubt pfffft you've ran a fab takeaway into the ground.ps I'd add photos if I knew how.Absolutely vile never again nearly £30 worth of food...

Absolutely delicious every single time! Always take the time to read the notes on the order too and food arrives promptly and piping hot. On the very rare occasion when we've had missing items they have been re-sent immediately. I recommend the curries, lemon chicken and the prawn toast.... amazing...
