Would normally give 5 stars to Mai's but there handling over the covid pandemic is nothing short of terrible. Ordered online and chose to pick up thinking I'd save them the hassle of delivering. Arrived at the shop to find the front door locked and no note on the door. I stood for 5 minutes and knocked a few times before heading a shrill voice come from the back shouting at me to go round the back. I head round the back and stand in the carpark/alleyway and knock on the door that leads to a dingey rear entrance. Still no answer. Call the shop and left on hold for a further 6 minutes. Finally get through and they pretend that they hadn't just shouted at me through the front door. I was met with a very rude lady who asked if I needed any change before sending a man out to hand me my food. Even then I was met with a very confused man who just stood and stared at me until I asked if it was for me. To which he stated he didn't know (my name was on the ticket)
Finally I get it home and the order was incorrect. We just dealt with it rather than heading back. Such a shame as normally we can't recommend this...
Read moreI ordered some food from Mai Thai on a Saturday through just eat. And was advised my food would be delivered in around 45 mins. Ended up taking a lot longer. I called up and ask if the manager could contact me for feedback on this. The food eventually arrived and I have to say was absolutely delicious. And very authentic tasting. Neil the manager called me the next day. And was very open to feedback and genuinely seemed interested in what customers have to say.. And explained that just eat donât give a realistic expected time of delivery especially on weekends. And that it would be much easier and better to book directly through the Mai Thai App. Anyway I ordered again on the Sunday and had a much better experience, And again the food was exceptional. I will not be using Just eat again. But will definitely be ordering from Mai Thai again!...
Read moreBest part about it was the delivery driver. He was plesant and friendly. Im afraid the complements stop there. We eat thai food regularly and thought we would give takeaway a go. First and last time. The food was warm, but not hot by any stretch, the satay chicken starter looked like scrawny chunks of green gristle on cocktail sticks. Tiny portion. The prawns in my prawn toast were rubbery and the tom yum soup was filled out with mushrooms and not much more with a nice layer of oil on top.. The thai green was ok. Small portions, inadiquate, sub par food and cold. £40 in the bin as we couldn't bring...
