A Hidden Gem: Fiona's Tea Room (Frimley)
For ten years I've called this neighborhood home, yet somehow, Fiona's Tea Room managed to elude me until recently. Stepping through their charming doorway was like discovering a forgotten treasure. This unique tea room offers so much more than just a delightful cuppa.
First, the food: absolutely delicious! Everything is prepared with care and evident passion. Whether you're tempted by their enticing savory options or their mouthwatering pastries, your taste buds will be singing. But Fiona's Tea Room doesn't stop there. Their unique selection of beautiful crockery is available for purchase, allowing you to bring a piece of their magic home with you.
The atmosphere is equally warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and courteous, creating a sense of genuine community spirit. To top it all off, Fiona's Tea Room is dog-friendly, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon with your family and furry companion.
And a true surprise lies in their charming backyard. Nestled amongst the greenery are a flock of chickens laying fresh eggs daily, living harmoniously alongside a nice big rabbit. This unexpected touch adds a touch of whimsy and reinforces their commitment to a unique and welcoming experience.
How I missed this gem for so long is a mystery! Fiona's Tea Room is truly a breath of fresh air in the neighborhood. It's a place to savor delicious food, browse beautiful treasures, and enjoy the company of loved ones. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional and original experience. Read moreWent for lunch today, it was our first time visiting. As soon as we stepped foot in the building we weren’t greeted in a friendly manner by the man on the till, said they were probably too busy and just told to not sit on a table for 6, great start! There was a small table free so we sat down. Waited a long time to order, and tried to get attention of waiter but he just kept saying in a minute. Ordered our food, after about 5 minutes we were told the jacket potatoes were sold out. Reordered and waited. Then was asked if I wanted my toastie on white or brown bread, I said white but it turned up on brown. Ordered a sprite, was given a glass bottle of traditional lemonade but all over the bottle lid and on the side on the glass was furry mould. Something must have leaked on to the outside of it, and I have no idea how the waiter didn’t notice before serving it to someone. I will note I’m nearly 9 months pregnant so really didn’t want to/ or should touch something that was mouldy! Returned it to the till and swapped for a can which is what I wanted in the first place. Food came, toastie was really naff, cheap cheese. Went to pay and they kindly took the drink off the bill which was appreciated but given the really rude service from the man serving and the bad food we won’t be returning. Recommend Oliver’s down the road if you want to a...
Read moreI was looking for somewhere to have a coffee whilst the wife was in Frimley Park and I was looking for a parking spot and found one right outside Fiona’s Tea House. Ideal and as it seems there was a sensible approach to occasional parking I thought this is perfect. As I walked in a voice called “good morning “ but it was not the staff but a customer in a small section of table. John behind the counter confirmed the parking and I ordered a coffee and a piece of Walnut cake. I sat across from the friendly voice who was having what looked like a stunning full English breakfast including fried bread. What a friendly place to find with the coffee being great and the cake delicious. I stayed for a second cup as the atmosphere was so friendly from all and I presume Fiona herself. It was so good to find a place like this with clear history and made me feel I was back in 1970’s when I lived on Copped Hall with my parents. I am 78 now. I live in Fleet but can’t wait for my next trip to Frimley Park so I can return to Fiona’s I wish them continued success so suggest you try it next time you...
