I have had to delete and edit my comments as they were inaccurate. Firstly, I said they are Turkish. This is not true. They are Kurdish. The food is Al Halal, and it's very clean. The staff have everything manned from dessert to cooking meats. They work so hard and so fast. I've tried kebabs of various types, and I have converted friends to join me . They do a deal for 3 people for £19.50 and I always get a Backlava. The food is so fresh, and they actually give you a proper salad with tomatoes olives cucumber lettuce onions etc I'd love to try a proper salad they have some beautiful vegetables as fresh as the meat. They are popular with all communities, and they are professional at all times. I have not dined in yet, but I will give it a try eventually. There is plenty of parking, there's vegetarian options to doubt Vegan, though. If you have vouchers via Uber or Justeat and you ask the staff first, then I believe they would honour those vouchers. I like the food service and the people who work there. I have never met any Kurdish people before but if the rest of them are like the ladies and gents who work here then they must all be hard working people. They all speak excellent English and they don't insult you in their own language which is rare for takeaways. They are popular with the local community and they get busy more on Friday after Muslim prayers families go in and have a taste of clean Halal food great services and I strongly recommend you try the Backlava rather than chocolate cake or cheesecake you can get cheesecake and chocolate cake from any shop but Backlava? Is a sweet dish made from Filo pastry and Pistachio nuts and a type of sweet syrup that is extremely amazing. I think the men deal with the cooking and orders and their women look after the desserts and I am not 100% sure but I think they make Backlava homemade rather than industrial bought from Costco. They are good people who work hard for us all. The rise in Islamaphobia again in England is pretty scary. I believe that we should support our Muslim brothers and sisters and support their businesses by buying their food and showing support for the Kurdish people and the Muslims across Ashton-under-Lyne. They are good people who are working hard to give us a great experience of their cuisine and their food...
Read moreI always order here because of their sea bass most importantly I don’t eat meat. My last order didn’t taste good because they put a sauce on the fish which tasted horrible and have never seen before, they didn’t even put the usual vegetables or lemon like they normally do..! I called in and told the rude cashier that this fish tastes bad , and he continued to say that’s how they do it and have been doing it for the longest time, which was /is a blatant lie!! I explained to the rude cashier that I have been buying sea bass here for time and that’s not how you guys prepare it!! I suggested can I get a better prepared one without the sauce or get my refund of which he proceeded to say there’s nothing we can do , that’s how we have been preparing it he rudely replied ???? I don’t think Ashton Grill take pride in valuing their customers and take time to listen to them without lying and being all emotional , a person could get ill or even land in hospital because of your negligence! I used to love coming here but since the recent incident I will take my money somewhere else..Such incidents could lead to a place being shut down because yall don’t care about the customers Requirements..It’s been a pleasure but no more will...
Read moreWe ordered the chicken tikka, lamb tikka, kobeda and doner for 3 people via uber eats, however, a completely different order turned up, it looked like it wasn't even from the same place and was cold. We rang the uber driver who said it was the only food he had in his car, therefore the restaurant had given him the wrong food and there was nothing he could do. We then rang the restaurant and after a few communication errors ( I was hung up on 3 times) my girlfriend rang instead and conveniently they was nice to her, although they said we'll just have to make do with what we've got . My girlfriend then got a little annoyed, and expressed her disappointment. Eventually the manager came on the phone and said he will bring us our correct order fresh and hot, and deliver it personally. When the food came it was delicious all the meat was hot and fresh, and tasty, there was nice portion of salad and the naan bread were also lovely. Overall it wasn't the best experience but the food definitely made up for it when it was finally delivered. Would definitely order again but will probably use the restaurants own website rather than uber eats, to save the risk of another dodgy...
