Rendezvous Cafe — Restaurant in Tandridge

I’ve been using this establishment for a number of years now. Don’t know why I haven’t written a review until now, so here goes. Firstly upon arrival you are greeted by very friendly staff who make you feel welcome. Then having placed your order and sat down you then notice that this is not just a a run of the mill cafe, it is spotless, every table is set up with all the condiments you would expect and all in the same order. The presentation and quality of the food cannot be faulted. There is a saying that even the little things make a difference. I’ve also noticed that as well as the friendly greeting the staff always make a point of saying thank you and goodbye when anyone leaves. I nearly forgot to mention that they offer free WiFi. Tasty food - classic greasy spoon fare but everything is done well. Fast, friendly service and good quality ingredients. The place is always busy, staff are professional, menu is spot on - it's a good stop for sure.

My only criticism is that it's a little overpriced. It's extremely difficult to run a cafe now and I understand the need to have increased prices but I think the prices do need to come down a bit.

Also, they don't accept card which is a bit annoying. They have a sign outside saying that card transactions cost them £10000 per year and they've passed those savings onto the customer. Well that's nonsense - their turnover would need to be close to £1m per annum for that to be true. And if they're passing on the savings to customers I haven't seen any evidence.

Always busy Cafe next to the and Summers roundabout plenty of free parking on the side. No nonsense Cafe with all the traditional stuff and some good main dishes too. Shame they don’t have any GF options or alternative milks. There is a 8 inch step into the cafe, so it’s not wheelchair friendly. There is a toilet at the back, but it is not wheelchair accessible . All tables and chairs are fixed, although high chairs are available there is no accessibility if you are in a wheelchair. They have outdoor seating. The filter is great, and the food is always a constant and good quality standard. It is not the cheapest as it is slightly more than other cafes locally.
