Just Thai — Restaurant in Teignbridge

We just wanted to share our experience of last night at Just Thai Exeter. We turned up early as we anticipated there being a bit of a queue. We were made to feel really welcome and they couldn't have been more helpful. Yes there were a few teething troubles which is expected with a new business but this didn't stop us from having a great experience. The service was brilliant and the food was fantastic, it was prepared to our liking spice wise and was full of flavour. The portion sizes were more than generous, we even took some of the food home with us. It is without a doubt the best Thai food we have eaten in Devon.

There were a few issues with people trying to order takeaways that were told it would be at least 1 to 2 hours wait but I'm sure this is because it's just getting started and they weren't aware of how popular they were going to be in such a short space of time and rightly so. We cannot wait to come back and try more of their amazing food 😍....

BIG MISTAKE

Made the error of thinking this was another self proclaimed “ Authentic Restuarant” with nothing authentic about them.

Ordered Pad Kaprow and asked them to make it ultra hot. When told to choose Thai Hot I said “ No, make it hotter”. To my defence I’ve been fooled thousands of times with levels of spice provided being nothing like advertised. I have a high spice tolerance so understandably wanted it to be hot.

Absolutely blew my lid off.

Trust me…if you want it spicy choose Thai Hot.

Yet all that spice while retaining flavour. Great Pork Belly and King Prawns and what I’m assuming were the home-made spring rolls were 10/10

From a fellow restaurant owner(ex) Kudos to the team. Lovely staff, quick service and food brought back authentic memories of Thailand.

Really disappointed with the lack of service hear. Looked lovely and inviting and really looked forward to eating here however after booking a table, we ended up waiting ages to get any service, after going up to the order desk to ask how we were to order I was told they'd come take our order but they were obviously short staffed and the waitress ended up taking orders from the phone and takeaway service leaving us waiting, I again asked why we were made to wait and responded saying she has to take telephone orders etc she was taking new arriving people's order before ours. I would of been happy to order from the takeaway desk rather than just sit and wait til they actually had time to serve us. Really a big let down ended up walking out. Could be a great place if...
