Orchard Coffee & Crafts — Restaurant in Teignbridge

My wife and I are camping nearby and cycled to this little cafe and craft room. The owners unlocked a side gate so we could securely leave our bikes which was helpful. They are looking to add a bike rack and possibly some tools to encourage cyclists to stop by. Inside the cafe there is a large selection of unfired china items; animals, plates etc that can be purchased and painted whilst enjoying something to eat or drink. They are then fired in the kiln on the premises. We ordered a bacon and a sausage muffin and coffees The sausage patties being made on the premises and very tasty. The coffee was also just right and after visiting several places recently where the coffee was only just warm, this was hot. First time visit, went as a group and only booked on the morning. Kids did paint your own pottery and we also had breakfast and coffees. The 2 staff/owners were both welcoming and chatty and showed the lods what to do. All very reasonably priced and wonderful to have something local and independent that does this.
