Dollys Pantry — Restaurant in Tendring

This was a local cafe in a very remote location... the area reminded me of some of the downtown areas in the Caribbean.. it was strange as it seemed so out of place from the rest of the area... notwithstanding the rest of the area is mostly caravan parks.

Anywhos when you enter it is basically a mini grocery store with a cafe in the back. The gentleman who was running the show was very friendly and accommodating.. We had an English breakfast and it was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The guy was nice enough to go and get us a fan as it was quite stifling in the cafe, due to it being a hot day and he said he had numerous refrigerators.

The guy gave my son a free box of sweets which was very nice of him.

My only complaint was the choice of decor.. I could see he was a proud collector of everything British.. however I did not like seeing so many golliwogs as I felt this was in very poor taste and slightly offensive. I didn't say anything at the time, but hey each...

We have been in Clacton for over a week and on Holiday .

I must say Customer service in this area is Ziltch I think it we will take your money and Run .

Cafe and Bars with Rude and Operatives who just don't give a dam .

We had eaten the day before at poor Cafe and Manners were poor and food was uncooked .

Then Today we went for a breakfast at this Cafe and what a difference food on time hot coffee in a pot extra chips given with every breakfast a nice Manager with Manners and the food was cooked and tasted great thank you we will return on our next adventure...

This shop sells everything and anything here. We ordered breakfast here and the food came out super fast and the potion size was very generous! The food here was lovely and the employee was great and friendly. The price of the food was very good and reasonable. This place is off the main roads but its definitely the place for great food.
