Such a shame how Hillier have fundamentally changed the quality of Rosebourne’s restaurant. Instead of being able to order using your phone, you now have to walk up to the counter to order. They’ll give you your drinks, but then bring the rest to your table. Why not just give you the drinks at the same time? Seems a pointless change. The quality of the food has also drastically reduced. It’s obvious now that all food is prepared ahead of time and barely reheated. I feel sorry for the original staff that worked here and built a place that was genuinely lovely to visit. Ooh.. just had coffee delivered at the 50 min mark, but no cake. Waiting....waiting...another 7 mins and the cake arrives at last after I've already finished my Cuppa. However, I’m concerned how the staff would cope normally, as they were completely incapable of making a few coffees and putting a cake on a plate. We waited 20 minutes for 2 cappuccinos, with no sign of it being made. When I asked what was up, I was made to feel guilty for even questioning the staff. 5 minutes later, still nothing and staff stood around chatting. Incapable, young staff and over inflated prices....
