The White Horse — Restaurant in Three Rivers

I've been here almost weekly in the last year, the place is a great classic pub, the refurbished rear garden is lovely, the food is delicious and Lisa is amazing. This was meant to be a 5 stars review if it wasn't for our last 2 visits when Richie was at the bar, he had no customer service skills whatsoever and his attitude was way too arrogant for someone working with people (there is no need to add a PLEASE after your client's order, especially in a busy/noisy place, maybe you just didn't hear it, also it's not nice to refuse to take my food order 1-2min before/after the kitchen closing hours simply saying 'kitchen is closed', nor to ask me to pay with cash when resorting in buying crisps as long as you have the card payment option and it's just not ok to take my card out of my hand to swipe it without my consent). Although I really like the place, I'm reluctant in going there again, just can't head there hoping...

We went in on Saturday evening to enjoy a pub meal. The atmosphere in the pub is good and the people are nice. We were really very disappointed with the food. We ordered tapas. The cod goujons were cold in the inside and it seemed like they were fried from frozen. The calamari was burnt and we just got two small end rings with other burnt ends. The sticky toffee pudding was like a rock!!! All the food seemed like it had been fried in old oil because it tasted like it. Great place to be with friends & family. I know it’s a pub but it’s also a perfect restaurant which serves good Asian cuisine. We had been on the trail nearby and decided to pop in to eat something quick. 2 person starter was perfect intro to what the chef has to offer followed by prawns pad Thai noodles, & more. It’s a must visit.

Went back again! I love the fact the team welcomes you with kind and warm welcome, no matter who you are. The food is divine!!! The squids came out at perfect temperature. Tiger prawns soaked in the delicious red curry! Crispy onion rings, duck breast and sticky rice! 🤤Best Thai food...
