we got here pretty early in the morning so the carpark wasn't very busy and got a table at the cafe. a good choice of breakfasts were available but I went for the lumberjack, the biggest one. staff were friendly and happily changed the mushrooms for another item. food arrived in good time and nice and hot. bacon was amazing as was the bread. all items were cooked well and we you seem to get a lot for your money. cost was about average but you did get your monies worth. one of the best around the area.

An amazing and beautiful place, super clean and friendly staff. The cafe is very nice and the portions are plenty. Lot to do with the kids there's something for everyone so every time you come back it's a different experience.

Always nice to have some good food and a coffee after a long, cold and wet bike ride. Staff are great and accommodating even though I was covered head to toe in mud..

Our experience a few days ago Pinetum is a fantastic place to walk in great countryside - but the cafe was literally terrible when we went last Sunday morning. I had seen that it only gets 3.9 in reviews with some really scathing recent reviews about the food, but we thought we should support it and give it a try . How we wished we hadn't. Whereas having a lovely memory of how great the Pinetum was, we now think about was the poor quality of the food . Such a shame . After our walk we went into the cafe for a lateish breakfast at 10.30am and each ordered Avocado on Toast . The staff delivered it quickly - full marks to them - but the presentation was awful. Two slices of white toast with an extremely thin spread of avocado (just like jam) on the toast . The avo was green and brown (over ripe) and looked as if someone had just dipped a knife into a tub of day old mushed avocado and thinly spread it. That was it! So unappetising! We should have sent it back but we had taken friends there and it was their first time to Bedgebury (probably their last at the cafe) so did not like to complain. Would have been a bit embarrassing. Cannot comment what the lunches are like as we didn't have one and they "may" be better, but certainly we were amazed that senior staff in the kitchen let a plate like ours leave their kitchen. It should not be too difficult to make avocado on toast more appetising. I notice that the current menu on the website 23rd July 2025 says they are serving Winter Warmer Porridge . The menu does not appear to have been updated since the Winter. Perhaps that...

Rarely write reviews but I really need to share what a rip off this place is. It used to be great a few years ago (as reviews over 3 years old suggest) but is now massively overpriced for average food. Today I ordered some nachos, together with a baked potato (no drinks) and the bill was over £25! As several people have mentioned to me recently they have been overcharged here, I thought to check the bill. It turned out they had charged me £15.50 (!) for a bowl of nachos. When I asked why this differed from the menu price of £11.50 (already very expensive), I was told it was because I had said yes to the guacamole (additional £1.50) and sour cream (£2.50)! I double checked and in tiny print at the bottom of the menu it did say additional charge for guacamole, but not anything else. Who knows how many people have been paying this without realising. The shift Manager refunded the sour cream charge and to be honest looked embarrassed at the extortionate price and “understood where I was coming from”. Suggest people avoid this place, and if you do go check carefully what you...

I was totally humiliated by the cafe manager Bobbi. I am regular at Bedgebury & a member. I was there last Friday with my running group & ordered an Iced Tea. I'd brought my own cup, had a 10% discount card, & a loyalty card. (One of the men I run with always get his discount & his loyalty card stamped.) Not believing it was possible I thought I'd see for my self. It all went through & she told me how much my order came to then she shouted at me that I couldn't combine my discount with having my card stamped. I was absolutely mortified! I felt like a criminal. Bobbi went on to say that as she'd already stamped my card I wouldn't be able to have the discount as well. There was a long queue by the time she'd re-entered my order minus the 10%. I will take my own...
