I confess to being a lover of their beautiful fresh soups and lunches. The food, cakes and coffees are one of a kind and extremely professional. Care and diligence taken to give a first class service from start to finish. I have been using the cafe for over 2 years of which bloomed in Dunmow originally under our offices at the community hub. A huge loss for us when they went to pastures new. It's a wonderful enterprise for the local community but seen more as a social collective family. Staff are friendly, understanding and accommodating of its users at all times for all ages and abilities within the complex or external. I'm privileged to work with these wonderful people and treasure a unique resource that rubs out inequalities and accepts unconditionally those with learning difficulties or less abled to be equal. Read moreHad a cup of tea here one weekday during school holidays. Cafe was decorated for Halloween. Place was empty, bearing in mind this is inside a retirement/care home. Service was very quick. A couple of staff said hello and briefly chatted to my brother (who they knew as a resident there).
We did not eat here today.
We were told on a previous occasion that they do not accept dogs in the cafe area and there is now no longer an option to eat in the lounge area with your dog because of cleaning the area afterwards.

The atmosphere is relaxed and extremely comfortable. Staff are warm and friendly and the students are a credit to the cafe and themselves.
