What a lovely little place this is, my wife and I were travelling for work on our way home via blueberry and decided to stop off. We had a couple of toasties and coffee with some delicious cake to go. This place is run as a charity with staff with learning problems but you wouldn't know that, and some of the monies go towards their charity. I would have given 5 stars but some of the staff were at the back and talking about staffing levels, people's names, DBs checks and not just quietly!! An interesting social enterprise providing an employment and social interaction opportunity for individuals with learning difficulties and additional needs and requirements. All the people I came into contact were helpful, friendly and polite. The quality of the food I purchased was very good and was also tasty. Furthermore, there was a wide range of menu choices available ranging from breakfasts through to light snacks and a variety of cakes and biscuits. I recently visited this tea room for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff made for a delightful visit. Initially, I found the prices a bit high (£7 for a sausage bap), but I was pleased to learn that this is a social enterprise supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism. Knowing that my money was contributing to a worthwhile cause made the cost more than acceptable.
