What a little gem on the canal. Had a lovely walk up to the pub along the canal from ferrybridge to knottingley. I had a lager carling and it was chilled and tasted refreshing and the missus had a red wine. We asked to put ice in the wine and the lady did it straight away. When you first walk in its dark & kinda spooky, but, beer garden is huge & very child friendly, the owners & staff were very welcoming & friendly, having stopped at 5 pubs in 5 days this one turned out to be the best!! They only do food on a Sunday, and again, only between 12 and 4 and we arrived far too late but hey ho, life goes on. They'd a couple of interesting beers and the staff are friendly, including the Landlady who is well worth a hug.
