Oh dear - what a disappointment. My husband & I were in north Wales for our usual Oct. week. I'd reaearched for a suitable place for lunch & Ann's Pantry sounded ok..A plus was that Ann's Pantry is dog friendly. It looked quite a quirky & interesting place. We chose to sit in a little hut where cushions covered the seats. Whilst my various allergies can be a nuisance when eating out, I have always found something safe for me to eat. No suitable sandwiches here (all had cheese or meat), nor the soup - but no fault of theirs. Not one main meal from the board was suitable for me. That was ok.... I simply asked for the haddock gourgons (without the accompaniment) and some chips. (Chips were down as a side order at £3.50p). Not rocket science. I left the queue so as not to delay others, saying my husband would come in & order his meal and pay for both. I returned to our outside table where our 2 Jack Russells were with my husband. So - both meals were ordered at the same time. My husband ordered the haddock gourgons with the potatoe, caper & watercress. A plate with the above was brought out with a few chips addded - obviously not mine. The waitress said she'd just been given one meal & returned to get mine. Quite a long wait, then another plate was brought out with haddock, potatoes, capers & w'cress. I informed her my order was just for the haddock gourgons & chips - nothing else on the plate. I was told that the plated meal my husband was eating had been for me. Wrong - as I pointed to his potatoes & capers & w'cress. She could see her error & went back to get mine. By the time my plate was delivered (some haddock gourgons & a few chips - all placed on a side plate) my husband had virtually finished his meal. We had been charged £12 for my portion & £12 for his. His meal was served on a normal dinner plate. During the long wait, I had noticed a dog water bowl. Dirty & full of leaves & general debris. If an establishment is dog friendly ensure any water bowl is fresh & clean. The nearby bowl was filthy on the day of our visit.
So - over priced, unable to deliver meals as ordered and at same time to enable people to eat together. A health hazard to dogs. Such potential......such a let down. Such a shame. I photographed all the disappointing aspects & stand by every word. Marion L...
Read moreWe love this very cosy little cafe. There is a nautical theme all through and is lovely whether you are sitting outside our inside.
Very quirky little place that is very popular. It's full of little things to buy as souvenirs like mugs, tea pots, scarves, coffee, bunting, candles etc.
They have fresh orchid flowers around and the smell is extremely beautiful.
The outside eating area is partially covered and have little nooks and crannies that look like bits of boats that have been made into seats.
They have lots of events going in here and different theme nights through out the year which they have a list up on the wall so you can see.
The menu isn't extensive but plenty enough choice and they serve all sorts of specialty tea and coffee. Also bread choices can be substituted for gluten free bread which all comes from the local bakery on Anglesey.
The cakes are beautiful here. This visit was the first time we've been here during the breakfast menu, we've always had lunch here in the past. To be honest I was spoilt to choose as they all looked so lovely.
There is a small bar area here and do a good choice of alcoholic drinks.
This place is great to just have a coffee at or a full meal. The little garden area is very relaxing and the views over the bay are beautiful.
I noticed at least one high chair too. Phone signal is a bit iffy but free WiFi...

The coffee here is just okay (slightly burnt each time we went over three days), but it's fantastic that they don't charge extra for oat milk.
The food here is decent but overpriced. We had the banana bread, which was oversweet but served with a substantial portion of nut butter, which ended up being satiating.
The atmosphere is cozy and quaint and the decor is nicely done.
You'll definitely want to make a booking. As this is the only cafe in the whole region, they fill up with bookings fast (at least for breakfast/brunch).
What was a bit strange, perhaps even rude, was that the tables are all time limited - not that you're forewarned of this. When we finally did manage to get a table after waiting in the rain for about 20 minutes (which is fine, I understand that's on us for not knowing to book ahead of time), we sat down and made our orders. We were about half way through our meal, when a waiter came over and sat a "reserved from 11:30" placard on our table. It was 11:00! He didn't say a word to us, and we suddenly felt rather harried. We wondered what would have happened had we wanted to order a second coffee? Quite strange behavior and certainly not something either of us had ever...
