After walking into Bella e buona, I was instantly overwhelmed by the stunning art that was on display. Not even 2 seconds after walking in, my myself and my prestigious party were seated in an area like no other. The options seemed endless, and the deals were incredible. However, after much consideration, I chose the guiseppe, one of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever eaten. After only 10 minutes, the starters, calamari and garlic bread, had arrived. Taking a bite of both of them took me on a tastebud trip I’ve never experienced before. The squid tasted like it was fresh from the ocean and the garlic bread was the perfect ratio of garlic to dough. They were off to a good start. But the mains, coming not too soon after, blew my brains out. The portion size was too big if anything, but every bite was better than the last. I wish I had a bigger appetite as after eating my devilishly delicious pizza, my party had left some of their bolegnase, and after much consideration, I left it. The dessert menu was huge; the variety was fantastic.Ranging from ice cream to tiramisu, it was great. A real shame my pizza was so filling as I would have loved to have tried every pudding, but a good shout for next time. As well as this, the staff were caring and cool, delivering our every need in a perfect way. The prices were brilliant and I will be making many visits to this establishment in the future. In conclusion, this restaurant is up there with Hell’s Kitchen and various other Michelin star kitchens. I was...
Read moreVery prompt service and staff absolutely fabulous and courteous, but felt the food lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. Tomato sauce lacked depth of flavour, seemed like a simple passata sauce with no seasoning. The pizza looked quite insipid, expected more of a rustic than generic look. The calzone was more air than content with minimal filling. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Overall, the food was cooked very well but lacked flavour and depth (and quantity in the calzone.) Even though they asked if everything was ok on several occasions, I felt it would have been rude of me to send it back as there was no issue with the actual cooking of the meals, it was just the lack of flavour. Would definitely visit again in the hope of a more flavoursome meal. Yes, I would recommend this place because of the impeccable, polite & kind staff and atmosphere, and the owner, who truly values customer experience as he called straight after my review to try and rectify and gain an insight into my review. Maybe it was just an "off-day" today but would definitely change my food rating to an even more positive one if the meals were more flavoursome upon my next visit. I wish this business...
Read moreI quickly searched for "italian food nearby" and I was pointed to that little hidden gem. I was taught later on that restaurant is under new management since last year and it can be seen that they are now doing really well. With no big expectations I went for a pizza, a warm smile from Brenda welcomed me at the door and I was guided to my table. All the staff looked and behaved with high professionalism. Brenda was able to spot my set down cutlery from the bar and instantly knew I finished my meal, both her and Iani approached me to ask if all is OK with the meal. You can see their dedication to work and customers is superb. I ordered a calzone and it was also made to perfection. Only then I decided to treat myself with a tiramisu. I don't normally take or post photos of my food, but this tiramisu was from another planet. I had a genuine WOW moment there. Absolutely amazing, fresh, light piece of heaven on the plate. Brenda, your smile made an absolutely fabulous first impression. Iani, thanks for a quick chat at the end. I would leave 6 stars if possible. I will be back again tonight - that's how much I liked the experience yesterday...
