Pizza Plus Kebab House — Restaurant in Great Britain

I would regularly order from here - maybe once a week. Today, for the first time since my original review I had a bad experience with the food. The pizza - a plain cheese with bbq base, tasted strange - like peppermint or something. I confirmed this by having someone else try the pizza and they said the same. Since I didn't order a 'mint-pizza', I decided to phone them up and try to get this issue resolved. I've never once complained and I generally dislike doing so, but I felt this was warranted.

After phoning I was greeted by a lady who was very polite. I explained the situation and we both recognised that I was a regular and that I've never had a complaint. She handed the phone over to the chef, where I explained the same issue. He proceeded be extremely rude to me and he exclaimed that he had "been here for a year and nothing changed! -Ingredients all same!". He also said I kept him on the phone for half an hour when only 7 minutes total time had passed (including the chat with the lady). The chef asked me what I wanted, so I repeated I did not want to eat the pizza due to the strange taste. He then refused to send another one out, He refused to take the pizza back and he refused a refund (despite me never actually asking for one). He also said he had "No other complaints from anyone in a year". Since he was basically yelling at me over the phone, I asked him to put the lady back on the phone instead. I told her this was unacceptable as I didn't do anything to warrant that kind of reaction. She agreed, but ultimately just said she was told by the chef to hang up.

The level of customer service at this point is actually absurd after being a loyal customer for so long. 0/10. I will never buy from here again. The pizza went in the bin and I'm down £10.

Original Review: 5★ I ordered using their app after getting a leaflet through the door. I live local and decided to give it a go despite some of the reviews on here. The food was delivered crazy-quick, hot and really was among the best in the area. Will definitely come back and order...

I wish I could give them no stars. We ordered food at 7 pm, due to arrive within 45-60minutes according to their profile on Just Eat. After an hour we got told it would arrive by 8:50. Fine. That's annoying but they must have been busy. 8:50 rolled around, then 9:50, then 10:50 and so on until half past midnight. In this time we'd phoned the restaurant and Just Eat to have no response. The food that arrived was the wrong order and we tried to sort this all out with them and Just Eat the next day. Golden Eagle lied, saying we had been served on time and that we had received free drinks as an apology for the delay (no drinks were anywhere to be found). We discussed with Just Eat how to proceed and also contacted the restaurant only to have the owner shout down the phone, telling me to shut up, before hanging up. Do not order...

Lived in Cardiff for a quite a few years and had kababs from city road and all over Cardiff but the kabab from Golden eagle was the ultimate, salad was fresh the meat was tender and no grease dripping from it, the bread wasn't soaked in grease/fat it was very enjoyable without the taste of fat left in your mouth afterwards, I will highly recommend golden eagle to anyone, delivery driver was polite and very professional and very happy, the lady who took the order on phone was very friendly and happy and understood everything I said, I'll only buy my takeaways from golden eagle from now on, excellent,another kebab tonight and again amazing an unbeatable, keep it up...
