Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar — Restaurant in Wales

Myself and my partner visted visted recently and ordered are usual we come here very often and have done for a very long time but I've watchrd this place rapidly decline over the last 2 years i given it the odd chance every 2 to 3 months but after this visit i don't think ill ever return

So we arrived and ordered asking for my partners to be well done reaffirmed with server and unsured the cook to ensure its well done wait for order no issues only person there took 10 minutes but no issue I wait patiently because I understand the well done takes some time but he cooked the steak for far to little time no more than 2 minutes after he got the rest of order done I get handed the order ask again knowing there's no way its well done but giving benefit of the doubt sit in car check steak shocking rare take it back inside ask for it to be flashed and cooked throughly please as my partner is pregnant and the man's response "that's how I have it " that is well done " mind you still pink not close to medium in the slightest I choose to bite my tongue and wait patiently as I have a cool head but this guy just won't let it go making comments laughing it up with his colleague making sly jabs so after 10 minutes after enduring this awful encounter I go back to my car to give my partners her food there was no apology as she had already already ate some I'm just glad this was a good experience for your staff and they had a nice giggle to themselves right...

Had heard really good things about these guys and placed a simple order through just eat for three burgers and chips. They failed to deliver the 3rd meal and I phoned them and they advised after making the mistake there was nothing they could do and take it up with just eat. Well you could do something. You can deliver the food you had been paid for.

When I take it up with just eat it says there is nothing they can do, case closed.

Both businesses have acted really poorly and I can't excuse how either have acted here. Either the Caerphilly mountain shack should have personally delivered the meal or just eat should have refunded. When you got nowhere with either it's very frustrating

So i'd avoid ordering from this place via just eat as they just take your money and ignore you.

The food itself we thought was average. I was hoping for a quality burger but it really felt poor quality beef. The bun and onions and sauces were fine but meat quality was very poor.

Finally the chips were tiny little fries which are pointless for a takeaway order as will always arrive cold at best.

So overall a negative experience. Let's hope they do better for...
