Caffi'r Hen Siop — Restaurant in Wales

What a lovely Welsh cafe, we have walked past this cafe lots of times but never gone in. We should of gone sooner, it is so nice and welcoming. The food and drinks are perfect the staff are very friendly and the customers too. It's so nice to walk into a Welsh cafe and the Welsh not to start speaking Welsh just because we are English. I'd give this cafe/Staff/ and other Welsh customers a massive ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. We will make a point of coming back to the cafe as we stay at Celyn Brithion Caravan and camping site alot, to visit the Mach Loop and hike the mountains. ordered iced vanilla latte and it was like watered down coffee +too much syrup, too sweet and doesnt taste creamy/milky at all when its literally latte? they did ask if i wanted extra milk which is a weird question cus what do u mean, latte is espresso shots with milk so how much extra are we talking about bruh idek but it wasnt good and felt like they put very little milk and way more water if anything. disappointed but the banana choc cake was nice. staff was not very warm or hospitable, didnt feel welcome here despite the nice homey deco vibe...

Found this lovely place in an unplanned manner whilst out cycling. What a breath of fresh air. Lovely staff, friendly, with a great sense of humour. Good selection of food including very tasty sandwiches and excellent cakes (at least the ones we sampled were), a good selection of gifty things (which wouldn't fit in cycling pockets) great loo, sensible Covid precautions and nice places to sit.
