Caffi Soar was the highlight of our trip to friendly Merthyr Tydfil. The lovely man there rustled up fab veggie and vegan breakfasts for us and our two children and took the time to chat with us, giving me a chance to practise my dodgy-but-improving Welsh. He also gave us some advice about climbing Pen y Fan, which is a short drive away and not to be missed! Such a great visit ♥️

Live music provided by a group of elderly gentlemen who obviously meet regularly and were very talented and enjoying themselves - really lovely to see!

Place is a lovely little cafe, Coffee is lovely as well... Only thing I have to say was the repeated comments about how many sugars me and my son had.... How sweet I like my coffee is not really something that I need to be made to feel ashamed of... and that's how I felt as I was leaving... Apart from that, the place is clean and tidy, There was a lovely little group of musicians just playfully jamming away which made the experience unique as that doesn't happen very much. Absolutely lovely little lunch stop for us. Cafe was clean and tidy throughout. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Had chicken, pesto and mozzarella panini 🤤. Was very nice. Our visit was made all the better by a group of musicians from the theatre who were jamming away. 3 guitarists, 1 violinist and a singer. Excellent music. Was great. Could of stayed...
