Wonderful pub and restaurant. We were visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire area and booked Sunday lunch there at the end of June 25. The lunch was outstanding (can honestly say it was the best pub Sunday lunch I have had for a long long time a) food was hot, beautifully cooked and everything you could want for a Sunday lunch. We were so impressed we booked for Tuesday evening and wasn’t disappointed either. The belly pork was beautifully cooked as was the rest of the meal and plenty of it. The profiteroles as to die for! We then booked again for the Friday evening and as one previous reviewer commented the Gammon is absolutely delicious, well cooked and a very very filling meal. What more can you ask for! I would recommend booking though as they do get booked up, particularly at the weekend (and I can see why!). We stayed in room 2 (king room in adjoining cottage) which was nicely presented and well laid out but let down badly by a very uncomfortable bed (lumpy mattress), poor quality pillows, duvet and bedding. Good shower. Friendly staff. Good quality food at breakfast, although only cold choice was cereals.||The restaurant bit:|The food was OK - albeit the Steak pie had been nuked, the pastry & meat inedible (partial refund received), stone cold Doom Bar (should have been hand pulled), on the plus side my seafood basket was very nice. Average Sunday lunch which arrived completely smothered in gravy, which we were lucky to receive as 1 member of staff told us they had run out of food until the Manager appeared & told her we were residents & there was food left!!!
