Signs saying dogs welcome so we went in with our very well behaved dog. There were people already seated. My wife stood at the counter waiting to be served and the rest of us sat down. Our dog was wagging his tail and it touched a woman who was seated opposite and she immediately complained. Meanwhile, though there was no one else waiting to be served, my wife was still being ignored by the woman behind the counter. 2 minutes she stood there to be ignored. We left and went elsewhere. During our stay in the village we mentioned what had happened to another local person who came over to make a fuss of our dog and we were told, in their words not ours, 'they don't like the English in there'. Nothing too fancy, just good food that hits all the right spots. The coffee and local beers are excellent and it allows them to cater to a wider range of customers.
