China Star, Rhostyllen, Wrexham — Restaurant in Wales

Had to give 1 star as there was no option of 0 stars.

Rang 19:45 to place my order, was told 1 hour maybe 1 hour 10 mins delivery time. No problem.

The time passed so I rang (21:12) to check on the order, was told mine was the next out and they were running behind but was assured food would soon be here. These things happen and it’s a Saturday night.

Rang again 21:56 to cancel order after giving up on them, they stumbled on words making excuses and offered to do the food half price but I said to cancel anyway.

The driver turned up 15minutes later (it is a 12 minute journey from the Chinese to my home in the car) so I sent it back after already cancelling. The delivery driver was lovely and understanding and she was the only person I can actually give credit to in this situation.

Unfortunately cannot comment on how the food tastes as after waiting 2 and a half hours for a delivery we didn’t get to sample it but I have never ever had such a let down when ordering food. Food delivered within 25 minutes of ordering so I had high hopes, that was until we tasted it. It was disgusting. The fried rice was so overcooked it was a big soggy mess and the Cantonese style sauce had the oddest taste. The special fried rice was also a big soggy mess and was drowned out in disgusting gravy type sauce. When I rang to complain I was given a load of rubbish about how they cook it. Then was told if I wanted a refund I would have to take the food back to them, if I had wanted to go out I wouldn't of paid to have it delivered. So £22 on three uneaten meals. So about a month ago I ordered food from China Star, I did originally review this but they deleted there profile to hide reviews, so I'm putting it back out there so everyone knows how bad they are. It took an hour and fifteen minutes to deliver even though got told it would take between 45 minutes and an hour. The delivery driver was rude so refused to pay £2 for delivery and all I got was attitude so closed the door(still paid for food mind). Then when serving food all we had was cold mush.
