Hopeful to shelter from the weather whilst my car had an MOT but the doors were locked at 09:00 on a Tuesday - incorrect opening hours. Not a town centre cafe either, but off a roundabout of main roads, a services provider essentially. Once opened and let inside, the interior was freshly cleaned and staff were polite. Total to pay = £8.20 for a small hot chocolate (which was more water than anything else) and a sweet treat to take away. No option to stay in as no dogs allowed, of which I had two small ones. Seriously, Starbucks? If you're going to charge the earth for something worse than what I can make myself at home, then at least update your standards to allow all customers to sit in if they wish to!!! You've been established for over 50 years and claim to be one of the most premium coffee suppliers in existence. Poor quality and whilst I'm not usually one to leave a negative review, I felt this one was absolutely necessary as yet again I'm failing to believe in the Starbucks mission of 'inspiring and nurturing the human spirit', whilst I drink my watery hot chocolate inside...
Read moreHad a £50 parking ticket!! I did not see any signs as it was getting dark!! Also I parked by Starbucks again didn't see any notice. Found out later a week later that you had to put in your reg plate of your car in to a tablet inside Starbucks its self . I did not see no tablet or was I told by staff that we had to do so. With it only just being just over a month of the changes you would think the staff would of said something, it doesn't take 2 mins to just say to a customer if you are in your car just pop in your number plate. I did a appeal to the horizon parking company as I wasnt given a receipt i didn't have evidence my appeal was rejected. When you in Starbucks you get 3 hours if we had have known about the tablet i wouldn't of had a fine!! Not happy as I was in Starbucks at the time and should not of got a fine. Also hot chocolate was not very nice. I will never ever go into that whole place again. Either to use the petrol station or the travelodge. Because my friends husband had a fine just for dropping his wife...
Read moreStandard Starbucks with a decent sized seating area and some outdoor seating too. It's a little close to the dual carriageway to warrent outdoor seating to be honest. With its proximity to a travel lodge and a petrol station it really should have a drive through which unfortunately it does not.
Update:- Having visited many Starbucks in this area (and further afield) I rate this one very highly. Starbucks has gone down hill recently with prices increasing and service levels decreasing. The premises are regularly dirty with the staff neglecting even collecting mugs let alone ever deep cleaning. This one however is always clean and the staff are decent which again, is rarely the case in Starbucks since they seem to be reducing wages and therefore attracting only staff who care little about the brands reputation. Good job to the employees of...
