Thought we would give this a try whilst shopping locally. Its a brand new build and a new Costa with a drive through. We decided to sit in and have coffee. The shop was quiet inside although there was a steady stream of cars through the drive through. The food and drink was fine, typical Costa as you would expect. I was however quite surprised how messy the place was. Tables had not been cleared or wiped down and the floor looked like it needed a good sweep - see the photos. There were three members of staff serving. Either one of them needed to find the time to service the seating area or more staff were needed on duty. At one point my wife and I were the only people in the shop so it wasn't busy. There was no 4G reception inside on EE (full service outside the building). In fact all I got was "no service" on my phone. I am finding this is typical of most Costas I visit now. It must be something about the way their new buildings are designed. Unlike other branches, there was also no wifi. Quite an important consideration if you want to go in with a laptop and do some work. Overall 5/5 for food and drink but 1/5 for the cleanliness and lack of any connectivity in the building so...
Read morelook. this is always a busy place with never enough staff to manage. so my experiences here are not based on them.
it has drive through that should be suspended in busy periods in order to catch up in the cafe seated area. the last 3 trips I have had to clear a tables in order to sit down. on one occasion I had to ask for a wipe as the previous customers had left the table a mess. again not the staffs fault they are too busy to cope.
if you want to wait for an hour in a queue to exit the complex on match days. wait 10m at a junction for the woman in the Audi to let you out whilst ignoring your pleading stare then this is the place for you.
the car park must waste the carbon footprint of an Apollo rocket every other Saturday while Currys next door will sell you a TV that saves you the equivalent of q 5w led bulb every year.

Read moreWe visited this 24/7 location for the first time at 1:45am. We went up to the door but it was locked, but the staff served us at the drive-thru mirror and we got our drinks. Staff were very nice and made the drinks brilliantly.
I would definitely clarify this location is 24/7 Drive-thru only to avoid confusion, as no mention of this on Google Maps or the Costa Coffee app.
The biggest problem is how out of the way this location is for late night drinks. There’s no advertisement to show it’s 24/7 here and it’s very hidden into the retail park, upon closer look you would think it’s closed until you get right outside and see the banner. Unless this location does more to expose itself as 24/7 to road users, I feel like it will revert to its old...
