An absolute disgrace, would never recommend this place to anyone; if I could give zero I sure as hell would!
I inquired about booking a table for my family and me to have food and drink to watch the Wales v Ireland a week before the game by walking in and speaking directly with the Landlord. The landlord assured me this would not be a problem just as long as I booked the day before the game to confirm, which I did; TELEPHONED AND BOOKED ON FRIDAY 23RD THE DAY BEFORE THE GAME!
My family and I turned up at the pub and squeezed through the crowd of people ten minutes before the game started to find our table had been given away! The Landlord made some feeble excuse and showed no remorse for wasting mine and my families’ time; worse gave a meaningless apology, but offered no alternative seating or complimentary food/drink for the great inconvenience and humiliation caused. As a result we had no choice but to leave which led to ruining our afternoon.
So there you have it, this is how the Landlords at the Farmers Arms treat their customers - like dirt. On a positive note, at least I didn’t waste a single penny of mine at this place and line the Landlord’s pockets, PHEW, dodged a bullet there!

Read moreVisited here for some lunch with my colleagues at work. Have driven past here on the way to work for over a year and have always been meaning to go in.

Was really nice. The chips in this pub are stunning! Portions were good and we all enjoyed our sweets. The one thing I couldn't find beforehand was a menu... so I've taken a few photos of their menu as of today and added them with this review.
Looking forward to visiting here again! If your thinking about having pub lunch, visit here. There is plenty of parking and the staff seemed...

Mid week so not too busy and for older building gave a hum of conversation without overhearing others. Range of different seating and tables.
Didn't sample food but gave the impression that it'd be a nice place to go for a meal and drink.
Seemed very dog friendly with a water dispenser outside the front door and a couple of dogs in the pub while we were there including a very friendly small dog which seemed to live there.
Didn't try the beer garden but it seemed spacious.
Definitely would go again even though quite a way from pontypridd it's...
