Just an awareness for vegan/lactose free customers... We ordered 2 vegan breakfasts and the menu said add eggs to make it vegetarian. I ordered it without eggs and with an extra hash brown instead. Had this conversation with the friendly lady serving and she said the eggs are no extra cost but the eggs are an option to make it a vegetarian breakfast so we got hash brown instead as it was the same price. It arrived without the mushrooms so we asked and were told that they had run out which was disappointing as we weren't told this when ordering and weren't offered an alternative but still paid the same price. Then we tried the toast and unfortunately knew it was dairy butter so we checked this and were told that we didn't tell them that we were vegan when ordering. This is confusing as we ordered the vegan breakfast (and two oat milk lattes) so would assume it comes with vegan butter not dairy butter. They replaced the toast which was good although it was hardly toasted and had soo much butter on it when we got the vegan one which felt annoying but we couldn't be bothered to ask about something else. Overall disappointing as good vegan breakfasts are so few and far between in the area and we paddle at the Tryweryn as well so really like the venue. But especially having paid over £20 for two breakfasts/coffees we would've liked to have not experienced this. Usually hate writing negative reviews and sorry to write one but we do appreciate a bit of feedback about vegan food so thought others might like to be aware too. So maybe just clarify that you're vegan when ordering the vegan breakfast. Sausages are the Linda McCartney ones which from my experience, have a negative reputation in the plant based world and they didn't have any vegan sausage rolls unfortunately. On the bright side, good to see Branston beans and not cheapo ones! And the servers were friendly, dogs allowed, free parking and obviously the...
Read moreWe were recommended to try Manon's for breakfast by the owner of STORI in Bala. The breakfast was just what the doctor ordered - good local produce, hot, well cooked and tasty. The staff were chatty and friendly and Manon's has the added benefit of being attached to the White Water Rafting centre, where you can watch groups fly down the river-it looks like great fun. Definitely worth the short drive if you're in need of a...
