So, I'd give this 3 stars. We just stopped by here and there was no indication of an entrance! It took us a minute or two to find the door and there was no sign. Also upon arrival, I saw one of the staff scratch their armpit and touch napkins with that same hand! However, as a family of 5, we were conveniently seated in another room where there was more space and they combined two tables to allow all of us to sit. The staff were very friendly and jovial, especially to the elderly which was nice to see. Their menu had a wide range of options. However, when I asked for an all day breakfast at 11:35, they said they couldn't give me one because they stopped serving them at 11:30 which was annoying. But there were other satisfying options to eat. It was a nice and cozy place to eat. The walls were highly insulated and it was quite warm (considering it was chilly outside). It was also nice that they hung paintings on the walls. The food came to us quite swiftly and was very nice and in good quantity. In my opinion, there was no issue with the actual food and drink whatsoever. Overall, the food and drink was very nice and so was the service but the hygiene and finding the entrance in the first place are two of the main reasons I am giving...

Update March 2025 Still absolutely fabulous. I can highly recommend their hot chocolate with all the extras and the pancakes as well. Please call in when you're passing, you'll get a friendly welcome and great food and drinks. Oh and there's a gift shop as well!

Excellent, as always. We sat outside in the sunshine, a new Covid19 feature, which I feel should be kept. Seating was available inside and all was suitably spaced out and one way routes were well sign posted. We only had hot chocolate with all the trimmings, fabulous, bit we did see the food and it looked really tasty. Go and visit, you won't be disappointed.

My Sister in law and I went for afternoon tea here this afternoon and we were very impressed. Lace tablecloth, sandwiches of our choice, mini quiche tartlet, selection of cakes, scone jam and clotted cream, mini sorbet, all beautifully displayed on Welsh slate platter and two tier Welsh slate and wooden display stand. The presentation was exceptional. Any amount of tea or coffee. We chose comfy sofas to sit on and the service was outstanding. Because we have small appetites there was so much left we asked for and received a lovely doggybox. This is one of the best Afternoon Teas we have had, and we have had dozens. Highly recommended.
