Visited 3/4/22, just 5 minutes by car out of Mumbles. Had heard and read the Hype on the place. It didnt disappoint, the board menu wasn't quiet what I wanted so they allowed me to adjust one. Ended up with 2 pieces sourdough, avocado, salmon, bacon, poached eggs topped with a light sprinkle of chilli and chive flakes. Wow the flavours were unbelievable. Coupled with a lovely Coffee, service and atmosphere. 1st time but far from last.

Need to share this gem in an unexpected location of Swansea South Wales, the Rag and Bone Cafe. Honestly the best avocado on toast I’ve ever experienced. A special touch with chillis and feta cheese, and don’t know how they cook that bacon, but wow!!! Friendly staff and good coffee, highly recommend a visit. (Excuse my poor photo skills but it was so delicious had to share a pic)

Very popular spot by the locals here and we can see why. We ordered a Brioche with bacon, egg, avo, cheese and sausage patty. The other is the vegan version of it with a veggie patty instead. Very hearty meal. Enjoyed my breakfast here. Love the vintage decor too. Definitely a nice place to hang out with friends or sit quietly during off peak hours for some me time too.

The Club Sandwich Connoisseur

Rag & Bone café

Junkyard themed eatery & caffine dispensary

Club Sandwich - sourdough toast - smashed avocado - bacon - chicken etc

Stacked with love, chef 'Bone confidently and proudly slips a sweet chilli jam in the mix - not heavy, it's a delicate addition which runs a new dimension over the palate, man knows his spicing is on point. Don't fret, this is an optional hextra for those that don't like to stray from the true roots of the club! Chipped potatoes (crisps) on the side, lightly dressed with a punchy ballsmatic glaze - nice and thoughtful. Side salad of mixed leaves gets a damn good tossing in a secret in house dressing, based heavily on the honey and mustard classic, refreshing! Who's doesn't love a tossed salad? Eat in on branded crockery, take away in a branded napsack - recyclable, naturally. Hand branded coffee cups are the perfect vessel for the highly renowned brew going on behind the rig, puck weight is one of the boss man's top concerns. Word flying about within the in-crowd is that a 'coffee manager' technician has previously been instructed to solely manage this aspect. Bean selection is strongly linked with Cornwall and the Columbian back pack massive {citation required}.

Tips - Dominion black cherry soda is well worth a punt. Anything from the cakery display is a charm, you CANNOT go wrong.

It's a strong 9.8 on 10....

I've been coming here for a couple of years and usually love the breakfast options and coffee but was disappointed today.

Ordered breakfast brioches and flat whites. The food was delicious but the flat whites were scalded and burnt my tongue. Milk for flat whites should be steamed to 55-65°C. Surprising as they usually get them spot on here.

What was disappointing wasn't particularly that the milk was scalded, that sometimes happens when coffee shops are busy, but it is usually resolved when you point it out. Unfortunately here it was met with a reluctance to put it right. We had the bizarre response that she "couldn't cool the coffee down" 🤷‍♀️ and did we want any cold milk added!? 🤨 That's not a resolution.

She did agree to make them again but what arrived at the table next was like a very milky latte. We just wanted flat whites, like they used to do so well here.

On a recent trip over to Pembrokeshire we called in here for breakfast and on another occasion for a late morning coffee.

The cafe is in a nice location with views over Cardiff Bay it's also close to The Mumbles which is a popular tourist spot.

The food and atmosphere are both excellent with a nice mix of breakfasts and other meals.

They also serve excellent coffee. And service is excellent.

The interior is nicely designed and the music is a pleasant mix of 80s and 90s classic pop and indie.

I love these small independent coffee shops and this is a prime example of a very well run business serving both...
