RSPB Café, shop and toilets. — Restaurant in Wales

We arrived 40 minutes before closing time. It seemed like a nice place with a beautiful view of the sea and we wanted to drink something with a snack after a walk. Staff was chatting and the coffee machine was already turned off, no food, so we only could get a tea or cold drink. We wanted to drink it there but got it in a 'to go' cup. It was possible to sit in for 15 minutes because they wanted to close earlier (they said this after paying). If we knew this we would go somewhere else. After a couple of minutes all the staff started to, very loudly, put the chairs on the table. Cannot say this is service or customer service at all. Having had mixed reactions each time we have visited,have found on the whole an unwelcoming place where the staff seem to be put out if being asked for anything,it seems to much trouble.The food although nice,is very overpriced for what you get.Although , don't even try to get service ,even 30 minutes before closing as food and drinks are not going to be served and staff seem too eager to leave.Don't even think about visiting with a dog,most un welcoming.They have chosen to ban dogs therefore losing a lot of trade.Entered the premises to be abruptly told no dogs, completely changing their manner when advised it was an assistance dog who was wearing appropriate attire.It may be a charity but certainly...

Popped into here for a breakfast at 11.06am and was told it finished at 11am which was OK BUT we had a cup of tea and witness four employees sitting on the sofa chatting and doing social media while the place was very quiet. I did think to myself HOW HARD would have been to cooked bacon for a sandwich and excel on there customer service skills instead of sitting doing social media, 2-4 minutes maybe for a sandwich... Looking at other reviews it seems this kind of poor customer service has gone on before. Still we went to CAFFI MON in Holyhead and had the best breakfast ever. So if you do happen to have a somewhat poor experience at RSPB SOUTH STACK CAFE you know where to go......
