Sheesh Mahal — Restaurant in Wales

I have been going to the 'Sheesh' for over 20 years. When it opened and for years afterwards it was an amazing place to go for a curry. Even winning national awards. This evening it was amazingly quiet. The food was okay although all the food was a bit similar. Nan bread particularly poor and papery. At the end the bill came which eas almost £70 for two. Only one pint. We calculated the bill and it should have been £38!! We genuinely feel they were trying to con us. When we told them the main man came over and apologised saying it was a genuine mistake. One of the younger staff came over and I told him ai had put £30 on the table and they were lucky to get that. He argued with my partner so she paid the rest. I would not have as I am sure they were conning us. Very disappointed. Will never go there again. I ordered a relatively small order and was told to pick it up in 30 minutes to which I did. When I arrived I had to wait another 30 minutes in the waiting area. Only after I asked the rude gentleman who was slapping his chewing gum in my face where my order was. He then went into the kitchen and immediately brought out my order. To which I thought that my order had been forgotten about and had been sitting there. As I got home the chips were soggy and cold, my curry was cold and bland and the poppadoms were so soggy that I could fold them like a piece of paper. I phoned up to complain but the telepathic gentleman told me 'he knows how the kitchen runs and the order was fine' without asking the chef in the kitchen if my order had been sitting around. He was very rude and would accept no responsibility for the terrible order. I won't be going there again especially not with the workers...

Not impressed tried to order over the phone asked do they do collections yes it may be a stupid question I haven't ordered from them before I was just making sure, his attitude was "yeah that's what take away is" very condicending and with zero customer service it's not difficult to say "yes we do accept orders over the phone what can I get you" or somthing similar and once I ordered and about to confirm the line went funny on there end I had full signal, I couldn't understand him properly I was polite saying "sorry I can't quite understand its a bad line" his response was "sigh" then hang up. So over all not a good experience I won't bother again if you're thinking of trying them best bet is order online or go in. Then again could still get rubbish service, judging by my experience, and maybe the food will match there attitude, well...
