Tŷ Golchi — Restaurant in Wales

We have been to Ty Golchi before and have never been disappointed however we must have chosen a bad day to go. We went at 11.30 bfast is served till 11.45 then the lunch menu. We waited 15 mins to be served (2 adults and 2 children). We decided to wait for the lunch menu to be told that they couldn't provide it due to a non delivery. We where really disappointed not to be told this sooner.

We should of walked out then but we decided to stay ordered a meal for our son that came incomplete. I had ordered tapas which came with no salad. My g.mush did not taste of garlic and tasted like reheated mush.... Prob from bfast. My wedges where skin, barely any potatoes. The cajun bites where average. Service was so bad and really slow. We where asked if everything was okay whilst she walked away and served another table before we could answer.....

I went to pay and she asked if everything was okay and honestly I should of complained but I just wanted to get and out go home.

We won't be returning...

Been coming to Ty golchi for years , Ty golchi now is a thousand times a better experience than it was, and even then it wasn’t a bad experience..the prices are steep for a lunch time menu, but the plates of food are massive, but I feel they could half the food and price and it would be a more comfortable stomach experience, but it’s nice, the staff are great ( forgetful on my visit, but typically great )

Tho I would argue the price for puddings / drinks is a bit much … 3.75 I think a coke/ Fanta, it’s expensive and £6 for a fudge cake that not made on the site … it’s all a bit expensive for those items ( I don’t know if the other cakes are made … but these are things i had )

We had the breakfast. It was a great size but the sausages and bacon let it down. The sausages are from a local butcher but the texture is very odd. The bacon was hard and tough to eat/cut which was a shame. For the price and size it has potential to be best breakfast around but unfortunately the sausages aren't as tasty as they could be. The eggs were perfectly yellow and doorstep toast was very welcomed. Black pudding was exceptionally yummy. Teabags could do with 2 in a pot but I guess that's personal preference on stronger tea. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive without being too much. I've had many meals and and has always...
