Went for lunch today. Positives were when booked we were told there was a large party so delayed our booking by an hour. Service was very good when we arrived. Asked for a specials menu and ordered 2 meals from there and 2 from the normal menu. Food arrived in good time considering they were really busy. And the food was amazing! Home cooked food and plenty of it. Very impressed. They forgot our garlic bread but when asked it was cooked and arrived as quickly as possible.||Then the bill came and the 2 special offer meals were charged at full price. We went to the bar and queried the bill and were meet with a very rude response. The lady who I presume was the manager said we had had the main dishes not the specials that were smaller. She made us feel like it was our fault. My mum had specifically asked for the special menu and we had both pointed to the special menu when ordering. If they hadnโt put it through correctly thatโs not our fault. The lady went on to say that she would discount for us this time like she was doing us a favour. How were we to know we werenโt eating the specials version. It was such a disappointment as we left with negative attitude and after the amazing meals we had eaten it was a shame. So credit to the chef, waitress needs to make sure the right order goes through, manager needs a customer...
ย ย ย Read moreAttended the restaurant on Saturday 2nd march after hearing good reviews. What a shambles. The menu states allergens contained in the food however these are WRONG! thankfully I asked a member of staff to check and they information on the menu was incorrect. When a member of your party has a severe allergy this could have been fatal! We waited 90 minutes for our meals to arrive. No server came to check if we needed more drinks in that 90 minute wait. When the food came it was cold and quite honestly the WORST meal weโve all had out in a long time. A table of 9 and not one person had a decent meal. The lasagne was cold in the centre but warm on the edges (clearly heated in the microwave) the burger was so greasy. The hunters chicken tasted like it was coated in some sort of spice and the chicken was sliced up in about 5 pieces with bacon on top. Not one server came to ask how our meal was and we noticed others complaining about their food being cold. We was also sat in a room where a dog was in the room (on a lead) but we were not asked if that was ok. What if a member of our group had an allergy or fear of dogs. There was also very loud dance music being played in a different room with no regard to anyone else. Sadly we was all looking forward to experiencing Tbones after all these years but I...
ย ย ย Read moreGosh what a wasted journey we had for a bank holiday. Hoping for a nice carvery on a suday in August but was really let down. Although hidden away in the landscape with a lovely view is frankly all it has to offer. Website says "dog friendly" but couldn't have been far from it. Walked into the entrance like any normal person would to be treated with "sorry dogs not allowed in this are, need to go round back via the conservatory. After sitting down for 5 mins our booking was taken. Decor is back in the 90s with the entrance and outside seating area full of cigarette ends, lovely look. Anyway we popped to the carvery that looked tired with the food looked to be pre cooked. Beef was OK but the rosties had seen better days. The Yorkshire pudding was another story. Not crispy but dry and hard to cut. My partner discovered mould inside once opened and that was enough to put me off. Manager comes over and says they were cooked yesterday hehe. No excuse and I think yesterday was 2 days before. Offered a refund on her food only and not mine until I mentioned a review will be posted. Server comes back to say all food refunded then back again to say two drinks refunded. Surprised this place has the level of Reviews based on...
