We stayed here for 1 night in 2nd floor (top floor) deluxe double room with balcony during our round South Wales road trip. ||The hotel has recently been refurbished so still smells "new". When we arrived the girl at the desk seemed pretty clueless and didn't seem to know what to with us do but a lady who may have been the manager arrived and took us to our room. It was very quiet, huge and very nicely furnished with a very comfy super king bed with nice linens and pillows and balcony overlooking the estuary with lovely views. The large bathroom had a walk in shower and everything was spotlessly clean with toiletries, tea and coffee making, hairdryer fresh milk in the room fridge and an air conditioning unit but we didn't turn it on. ||We had breakfast included but there was some confusion as to whether it included a cooked option or not but we didn't query it as we knew we'd be leaving very early anyway. As it was, the continental included was more than adequate for us, good selection of breads/ assorted pastries, preserves, cheeses, meats, yoghurts, fruit, cereals and boiled eggs. The lady serving at breakfast was very efficient, friendly and cheery.||We also chose to eat at the hotel for dinner and this was where it all went a bit wrong. The new restaurant manager (2 weeks in the job) was very friendly and chatty but there is a lot to do to encourage us to eat there again. We ordered drinks first and they didn't arrive until 5 minutes after our food had arrived for which we received an apology and told the order hadn't been sent through. We thought an establishment so close to the sea would have some fine seafood on the regular menu or at least as a special but no, nothing but I ordered the fish and chips expecting a nice meal especially at £19. It was however quite disappointing with soggy greasy batter and a very thin piece of watery tasteless "fish" inside, even the manager didn't know what sort of fish it was. The chips were bog standard catering ones but the peas were ok though! Mr W's "homemade" curry at £16 was bland with little flavour, again the manager had no idea what sort of curry it was supposed to be and he only finished it because he was hungry. We didn't dare risk a pudding, couldn't face more disappointment. ||Overall we'd come back and stay at this hotel in a heartbeat but would avoid eating dinner here which is a shame as it's a beautiful location with so much...

My wife and I spent a wonderful night at the Teifi Waterside Hotel. We've gone to Cardigan at the same time every year for over 20 years but normally stay in one of the international branded hotels in towns and cities en route. But based on this experience, I can see us staying at the Teifi Waterside again. So what did we like?||1. Very nice bedroom: we had booked a Deluxe Double Room with balcony and sea view. Our bedroom was quite large and clearly newly refurbished with good quality built-in furniture and a super king size comfortable bed with decent bedding. There was a small balcony with a table and couple of seats and this led out to a communal terrace with views of the estuary of the Teifi estuary and the sea beyond. This view was also available through the window from inside the bedroom.|2. Nice bathroom: the ensuite bathroom in our bedroom certainly was impressive with very modern sanitary fittings and tiling. The shower was large with both an overhead and handheld showerhead.|3. Good evening meal: we dined in the hotel's traditionally furnished restaurant and were impressed with both the table d'hote and a la menus. We weren't able to make an advance booking for our preferred dining time but we were promised a table with a good view if we turned up half an hour later. The hotel was as good as its word and showed us to a table with estuary and sea views.|4. Good breakfast: a complementary breakfast was included in the room rate which offered cold meats, cheese and the most lovely bread which presumably is locally baked. A full cooked breakfast was available for an extra charge which, while we didn't have it, looked as if it was cooked to order to a high standard. |5. Friendly staff: staff were very friendly and service very good. |6. Excellent wifi: wifi in both bedroom and restaurant was both fast and reliable throughout our stay. |7. Free car parking: the hotel had a free carpark close to the main entrance and we had not trouble finding a space to park.||Was there anything that could have been better?||No. Everything was fine during our stay.||Will we recommend the Teifi Waterside Hotel? The answer is definitely yes. It is clearly a very well run hotel and we felt very welcome and comfortable. At the time of our stay, the hotel was expanding with the building of a brand new annexe. This should provide more quality accommodation and is apparently due for...

A wonderful waterside pub with a lovely safe area for children to play. We first visited on Fish Friday, The Guy on the bar was not welcoming, telling us we couldn't order food till 5.30 it was 5.25 there are ways to talk to people! My daughter who was a restaurant manager, found his attitude was unacceptable bordering on rude. She wanted us to leave & didn't want us to order food, but our grandson loved the play area, so we stayed. The food was brought out to us by Alfie, he was pleasant friendly and very attentive. He is a credit to the place. The food was amazing! So good that we decided to book for the Sunday Carvery. Once again we were served by Alfie, The food was freshly cooked and plentiful. When we are next in the area this is where we will go to eat. I'm so glad we didn't let our first impression spoil it for us.

This place really does have the wow factor. Everything about the Teifi Waterside hotel was spot on. Perfect. Faultless. From the cleaning staff, to the senior management, every member of staff I encountered were absolute diamonds and such lovely people. Food was beautiful, their own craft lagers are the best I've ever tasted and their Teifi passion fruit cocktail was delightful. Rooms are fantastic, location perfect, the only fault I could find with this place is that they did not have crab cakes left as a starter, but plenty of other delicious starters available and the pork belly was wonderful. I've stayed in some nice places and I'd say this beats them all. Everything was just perfect and I'm looking forward to staying here many more times this year.

Located in a fabulous location with superb views from the inside as well as their lovely beer garde. There is also a cool little play area for young children that includes a boat. The service was pleasant and the food tasted nice. Only minor issue was that some of the ingredients on our meals were exchanged for other foods as they had run out, it would have been nice to have been informed before the food came so we could have changed our orders or declined the substitutions as the salmon came with chips and new potatoes and mashed veg instead of salad, so there was waste. Especially important when ordering for children and providing fish fingers not battered fish which was wasted too. But on the whole, lovely restaurant that I would visit again.
