I'll be honest, with all the 5 star reviews this place has I was a little skeptical. With so many places buying reviews to boost ratings its hard to know where to trust. That said, this place certainly does deserve every 5 star review it gets.

The couple that run it are lovely and welcoming, my missus is coeliac and this is the first place we have been to that seems to fully grasp what that means. Their menu is brilliant for coeliacs, nearly everything can be done GF which is a refreshing change.

The menu is brilliant and there really is something for everyone. I had the pork and my missus had the salmon and prawns. Both meals were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! The potatoes dauphinoise were incredible, as were the chips and all the vegetables were fresh and full of flavour. Even the rolls that came out before the meals were delicious!

For desert I had the white chocolate mousse with raspberries which was light and delicious. My missus had the peach and ginger cheesecake (nearly all the desserts are GF) and couldn't believe how flavourful it was.

We visit Wales regularly and will be returning next time we visit Wales; and every...

Simply put, the food was amazing along with the service. A year ago, my parents and brothers family came here. Dad said it was the best food ever. We came back this year with myself and my family for my dad's 70th. The owners remembered them from a year ago, right down to the table they sat at. All the meals from start to finish were amazing. I had the mussels to start and the duo of beef. Sauce for the mussels as nice as any I've had, and the bread served with it was different but absolutely amazing. The duo of beef , cooked to perfection with a nice rich sauce. The sides were delightful , with way too much left over which is better than asking for more. Overall, I would definitely return here. A couple who love and respect the food they serve along with the...

Truly; if you want good honest food, fantastic portions, and awesome company, you owe this place a call.

We were on a motorbike trip around wales and, following a couple of navigation mistakes, we knew we could not make the place planned for dinner. Searching google maps we found this place, and they kindly stayed open slightly late to accomodate us. Truthfully, I am so happy that we did not make the other place, as this restaurant is just sublime. Honest, wholesome locally sourced ingredients, prepared and served by two people who are absolutely lovely, and genuinely love the food they cook. It was so good that we actually changed our plans so that we could go back on a second night..

Please; if you are nearby and can get...

We were in the area for the bank holiday weekend. We booked here and were not disappointed. The food was subline.. The main I had rack of lamb and it was one of the best lamb I have ever tasted. Cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My other half had the duck whish again was amazing. Desserts we had creme brulee and strawberry mousse.. Both amazing and so tasty and perfectly presented. The atmosphere and hosts were so lovely and very attentive to our needs. I cannot recommend this place enough

What a lovely welcome we received from Caroline and Chris. We were already running late as we went to the wrong restaurant, and they happily accommodated us. The food was delicious, service was quick and there was a very friendly atmosphere. We felt very looked after. The portion sizes are very generous and we couldn’t quite finish it all! We were only in wales for a last minute stay over and we hope to be back to visit the area and will return here for food. Thanks so much!
