We walked in (4 adults, 2 children) wanting a table for food. It was absolutely dead in there, the bar maid looked like she didn't want us there but managed to "squeeze us in". We had to order at the bar, no table service for food that certainly wasn't cheap. We waited over an hour for food. They brought meals out 10 minutes apart and the child's meals last. Then we had to wait a further 5 minutes for cuttelery after asking for it when the food was brought out. The food was nothing over bang average and the portions wernt generous at all considering their prices. No one even came to ask us if everything was OK with our meals. The arrogant bunch must of assumed that the food they serve is perfect

They even had the audacity to give us a "golden envelope" which contained a possible discount on the next time we visited to eat. We left that on the table when we left as we 110% won't be returning to this absolutely awful pub with no atmosphere.

My advise would be.....train your staff on good customer service you bunch of...

We couldn't fault the food at all, the low rating is because of the service!

Staff were slow to acknowledge customers, food was slow to arrive (40mins for starters). The table wasn't fully cleared before bringing the mains out. We wanted desserts but because we were 10mins past last orders for food we were told we couldn't have desserts, never have I been cut short half way through a meal, the only reason we were so late is because the service was so slow!! The staff were still in the kitchen when we left, half an hour later!

We asked for the bill, which we were over charged on by over £40!! They charged us for an extra starter, an extra main course and drinks we didn't have! These were all refunded once we queried it but not the point!

With businesses in hospitality complaining about the increasing costs I would of thought that turning down at least £40 in desserts and another 10 drinks (an easy £70) isn't the smartest thing to do!

After this experience we won't be back! which is a shame because the...

Went here the other night, we got there around 8:15 just in time before they closed the kitchen. Fortunately the hen party there was just leaving so we had a place to sit.

We ordered a bunch burger and chips and a pizza. I chose to have two patties in mine and they were absolutely amazing. Very juicy, filled with taste and to think you could have had 3! The chips were very chunky with the skin still on them and I loved them too. Soph really liked the pizza, got half way through it and was full, size wise noat people will get through it pretty without much trouble I think. Base of the pizza was very soft and loads of cheese. Was maybe on the expensive side however the quality lived up to it.

Even though we got there pretty close to the closing time for the kitchen the staff were lovely, think they could tell we weren't from around there.

Really sweet Welsh atmosphere there, would...

My parents moved to Wales a couple of years ago and even though I've visited a few times we hadn't been to The Bunch of Grapes prior to today. I'm so glad I found a Gluten-free friendly pub to eat at within a short drive of their house. As newly diagnosed (less than 6months) it can still sometimes be stressful for me eating out, so I was very greatful they were so aware of my needs. The staff and locals were friendly and welcoming and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. I will be back for sure.

Nice traditional pub at bottom of high street Outside seating out the front Bar area and back room and beer garden Had food at lunchtime and had two burgers which were good Could do with a lunchtime printed menu as only found out after ordering they do paninis and light snacks at lunchtime but not listed on menu Could do with some specials in daytime as main menu was a bit overpriced Also dog freindly and good jukebox a pub cat and freindly locals
