The Dorallt Inn — Restaurant in Wales

Attended the “Launch Party” at the Dorallt Inn yesterday and had an absolutely fabulous afternoon .. It looks as though the new owners have worked tirelessly to revamp/Decorate in a short space of time ready for yesterday and it really showed.. They certainly worked their socks off on the run up and again yesterday behind the bar and on the food van .. The Band they had organised to kick off the day ( Old time Sailors ) were fantastic and really got the crowd dancing singing and “toe tapping “ and whilst the weather wasn’t on Sian and Paul side they accommodated this by moving things in doors which didn’t put a dampener on the day at all.. Definitely going to revisit , and if some of the plans that they have in place are anything to go by, I can see it being a regular if ours .. Well...

Attended the launch of new management at our local Sunday. Got to be said, absolute great day/evening. Two live acts, the old time sailors, shanty sea band! Brilliant. And white noise another great act, singing along to the oldies pop rock songs was just what the doctor ordered. Had great cooked food from the on site food trailer, Lovely. Great atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go to another night. Looking forward to having a new local here In cwmbran. Big hats off to the new management...

Large pub. Visiited for Sunday lunch. Our table for two was sandwiched between a party of 16..there was no personal space and we felt very hemmed in. Dinner was decent but the vegetables were still raw, _ and we like them al dente .. the screeching, shouting and general bonhomie of the party made it impossible to speak with one another. So we ate up and moved out. Couldn't wait to get out for Ibuoprofen for my thumping headache. However, I would give it another go, as it wasn't their fault..maybe it would be more relaxed...
