There are some places you go where nothing is too much trouble, this was not one of those places. We felt like we were just an inconvenience.

General attitude of the staff was poor and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. No friendliness or welcome or like they were happy to have you there after all this time being closed. Marred the overall experience.

Arrived earlier than reservation on off chance we could eat earlier or just have drinks. They could accommodate us but the guy that greeted us made a real mountain of a molehill. The table management seemed poor. As there were lots of empty tables with great views we asked to move which they accommodated but we heard grumblings from other dinners who had asked the same and obviously denied despite the fact there were empty tables with the better views.

We wanted to order a special main, the dressed crab, to come first to share before having our actual mains, the waiting staff had to ask the chef for some reason, again felt like an inconvenience then told no we can’t order as a ‘starter’ even though we weren’t asking for it as a starter size portion!

Ordered the tomahawk steak which was really nicely cooked but the chips tasted of oil & had burnt bits at bottom and the side order of coleslaw was tiny considering it was £3.50 extra.

All the food seemed a little overpriced and that’s coming from 2 people who are used to London prices.

The view makes this place (if you...

Honeslty stopped here for a meal after a busy day out not really knowing what to expect as we don't know the area. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! The food was exceptional, to be honest it's the best meal I've had in a long time and I feel like I've robbed them for what they charge. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, there chef has the most essential skill in the industry to be able to cook with love! I had the seafood feast which was mouthwatering tasty and cooked to perfection. My partner had the scampi and absolutely loved it and couldn't believe the portion size. Our kids both had a kids burger and my god as my littlest one couldn't finish it all, I tried a bit and as far as burgers go it's the best thing I've ever tasted the only way you could get fresher is if you handled the cow your self!

The waiting staff are a credit to the industry, not a single one of them looked out of place or like they didn't want to be there or were just there for a pay check. They were all smiles, pleasant and very erlcoming. There a credit to the business.

The owner was welcoming and seemed like she genuinely cared about her guests, she was a lovely women and I wish and hope all the best for her in the future as I myself know how cut throat this industry can be!

If we're ever in the area again we will defiently be returning, honestly can't recommend enough!

Thank you all for an...

Had a meal there on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were great but the menu is limited. There is not much difference between the evening menu and the lunch time menu which was quite disappointing. All meals seem to be around the £14 mark which is fair if the food constitutes it. However whilst there I listened to a few customers who had come in expecting a lighter lunch who then spoke of going to a local chippy to eat because it seemed a bit expensive. The meal I had was a seafood basket, a little greasy and the fries were something you would expect from McDonald's and just as cold. I did notice that they do handcut chips and I wondered why they did not offer a choice of either with the meal. The salad was made up of two bits of green leaves balanced upon each other with a small portion of mayo on the side. I am giving the rating as a three purely because the staff were great, the location and view is sort of unique but the food is unimaginative and overpriced for what it is. I was not entirely happy with the meal but did not feel I should complain because at the end it is just a pub trying to profit from its location. Fine dining it is not, a village pub is all it should be,...

I’m so delighted to have found the Ferry Inn, as it has restored faith in me that we do indeed have outstanding restaurants only a short drive away. The venue was incredible: you walk into a quaint traditional welsh pub, only to be surprised with a beautifully refurbished riverside restaurant down the corridor. 4 different seating areas, all with a riverside view: the roof terrace, the restaurant, the decking and the cabin. We sat in the cabin which was slathered in twinkling lights, nautical decor and cosy little wooden booths. Beautiful. The food was exceptional. Large portions at very very reasonable prices. My friend had the Veggie Burger which came in an amazing Pretzel bun and I tried the Crab, Shrimp and Lobster Tortellini. The filling was so flavoursome and bursting from within its delicate little pasta walls. Very well trained and friendly staff, delicious hearty meals, stunning riverside views and great prices! Will certainly recommend to everyone in the area! Keep up the good work Ferry Inn.

Sadly not a great experience for lunch, went with friends and as we all work within the hospitality industry and fully understand the pressures that come with it. Unfortunately there is no excuse for serving sub standard food but charging top price. My friends opted for the burgers, for £17 each I would have thought that fresh chips would come as standard, the chips served had been fried several times so only thing remaining was greasy hollow tubes. The coleslaw was clearly left out in the hot kitchen I can only assume and was inedible. We did express our disappointment and was given a discount on the final bill which was appreciated. Maybe the chef was having a bad day but when charging high end prices the food really needs to reflect this . Sadly today was a very big let down . Beautiful location and the staff member who served us was very polite .
