Opened in May 2018, this little cafe is situated overlooking the runway at Welshpool Mid Wales Airport. There are two indoor spaces available and plenty of outdoor seating on the decking by the runway. The prices are very reasonable, the food and drink quality is good. Service is friendly and cheerful and the facilities very clean. There is a large car park available at the airport, but accessing the cafe is a little circuitous (though well sign posted). It's definitely worth visiting for a drink while watching the planes (or air ambulance) take off for the novelty alone, everything...

Delightfully eccentric place but with a total lack of artifice and nonsense. The food is great, VERY competitively priced and honest. There's no trendy nonsense going on here. The staff are welcoming, friendly and informative, and the place also sells local herbs and locally sourced food items, and much more. On sunny days you can sit outside and admire the scenery or watch planes arrive and depart. There's lots to see, and the proprietor tells me that people fly in for their breakfasts- one all the way from Scotland! A delightful place worth visiting again- I...

Food was just ok. The sausages are the cheap frozen ones you can get from Iceland. They charge 25p extra each for crispy bacon which I thought was one of the most bizarre charges I’ve ever heard. There is not much difference in the coffee sizes. You’re basically paying for more hot water. The breakfast portion was small. The server was pleasant but the cook was a bit miserable. When asked could she cut the fat off the bacon, the reply was simply “no.” The beans were nice. My suggestion would be to drive to Morrisons cafe and get a better more reasonable...

A definite must for a quick stop off with a difference. It's located behind the air ambulance landing pad you can see the helicopter as you enter the carpark. Their are also other services located within the grounds so there are teaching schools for flying lessons for gliders. It's pretty cool eating a full English and watching the small planes take off and land. You could of course pull into a layby but the food is freshly cooked and it's excellent value with good facilities indoors or outdoors on a decked terrace.

Where to start? The breakfasts are amazing and I would definitely recommend the full English and where better to eat it than parallel to the runway. Amazing service from the staff and if you're lucky you might see the North Wales Air Ambulance! Highly recommended and definitely worth a special pit stop!

Popped in yesterday in for lunch whilst out for a bike ride with some friends. Great place to stop, eat and watch the light planes and helicopters taking off and landing, whilst surrounded by beautiful scenery. Had ham, eggs and chips which was very nice. Highly recommended.
