Absolutely thrilled to have this as my local. The Lewis Arms has always been a little Gem . I grew up local to the establishment and I have worked there in my early teens and enjoyed many occasions as a customer also. Tonight, I wanted to watch some sport. Most pubs were not showing The boxing and I have to say I'm so thrilled to have gone to The Lewis Arms. It was absolutely fantastic. Ken Strelly , thank you for firstly having the boxing on, secondly taking me back to my teen years and most importantly employing staff that I can admirably commend. I had the eggs benedict and my husband had the regular breakfast. The breakfast was a great size and tasty. The eggs benedict was lovely however found there was a lot of hollandaise sauce which got sickly after a while. Free tea or coffee came with.
For anyone visiting first time, orders are to be input at the bar. It would be great if the owners could put a sign up or note on the breakfast menu as a couple next to us walked out after a while, I think expecting to be served...
Read moreWent for breakfast on Monday after seeing numerous posts about it on Facebook and we were NOT disappointed. We had the regular breakfast which consisted of 2 thick bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, beans, fried mushrooms, hot cherry tomatoes, black pudding, little hash browns (which were to die for), toast and a cuppa all for £7.95. The presentation was spot on and served in a cast iron pan. Can't wait to return for breakfast and to try the other meals available throughout the week! Well done...
