Recommend to visit as minutes from.where we staying , pub split in 2 parts , newer section , just for drinking and outside beer garden , older character part for eating arrived early for table, so was asked to wait in the drinking area only , so paid for drinks as requested and was told a tab can be set up once seated to wait for when table would be ready , called through to table ordered our food as had peek at menu prior , had to wait a bit for food but it was fresh and hot when it came, only slight negative we asked for another round of drinks , to be told to go to the bar to order as they were busy, we had just had food to our table so wanted to eat it whilst it was hot and not to come back to.a cold meal , bearing in mind once seated in the "restaurant / eating area" just assumed table service from.then on. Hence the 4 stars as 4 drinks 2 mains 1 pudding was around ยฃ71 , when I went to pay the balance they couldn't add tips on the card, luckily I had...

Have supported this local business throughout the lockdown by having their Sunday Roast lunches take-a-way. Excellent choices and great value for money. Have had their Woodfired Pizza's. Wide range of fillings and very tasty.

Tonight had our first meals, inside and felt perfectly safe with their social distancing in place. Good choice on the menu, so your not limited in any way. They are part of the 'Eat out, to help out' Government scheme.

Recommend you phone beforehand to book a table inside. The beer garden is run on a 1st come, 1st served basis and business both inside and out was brisk.

Highly recommend supporting this village pub. Lovely meal, warm welcome, great service, pleasant and competent staff. Perfect.!

Will be back on Sunday for another take-a-way Sunday Roast Dinner.

Many thanks to the Chef's, Ed and...

Needed to stop for lunch and came across the Panton Arms. Friendly staff as we were seated. They were serving a roast dinner menu but we asked could they make a salad for one of our group members. This wasn't a problem. The food arrived fairly quickly and was piping hot. It tasted as good as it smelt. I ordered the beef with veggies and Yorkshire pudding. Everything was cooked perfectly except for one roastie that was a little under done. But that is my only moan and not a complaint. The quick put together salad looked perfect from my side of the table. I was I formed the lamb and ham were just what they wanted. The home made gravy finished the meals off perfectly. All round my group and I had a lovely experience in...

After discovering it was a dog friendly establishment AND their pizza was to die for, we had to visit. On arrival we were told the pizza oven was not on and pizza was off the menu. We were heart broken (my wife and I, not me and my dog) but they did have specials. To make a long story longer, the food, service, ambience were awesome. They even done doggy sausages for my hound (they're normal sausages cut up for easy consumption, he won't eat them if I told him). I cannot recommend this place enough. It's up there with The Moon Under Water status. Try it. 11/10

Always great service and really nice food. In the past 2 yrs or so it has been updated. The present landlord was busy biulding an extension this year when we visited. They've added pizzas to the menu, though they only cook them after 5.00pm. Went back July 2023. Sad to say the place seems tired. The decor must be their next job, as it's definitely dated. We had pizza, which was okay, though, being handmade on the premises, took a while to turn up, so be prepared for that.

Unexpected stop, was highly worth it to discover the wonderful food. I had roast beef (3 very large, meaty slices) over Yorkshire pud, roast and mash potato and veg. Everything cooked beautifully. Quick and efficient service from very young staff. Thoroughly recommend. 3 other members of the group all loved their food and we returned 4 Completely empty plates!
