We are not local, my husband has been working at truckfest wales, we are here with our three children staying in Howey, I found this place on google and thought we’d try it as it was only 12 minutes from our Airbnb, when we arrived I thought no way we would get a table as they were soooo busy but they went above and beyond and seated us in the snug, which was perfect for us and our 3 young children as we had it to ourselves! Service was 10/10, staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was great, HUGE portions and good quality meat! We were warned before hand that we might have a little wait for food as they also had a table of 37 in! However we didn’t wait long at all, in fact service was quite fast! I’ve definitely waiting longer in other restaurants! Really can’t fault this place, good old fashioned pub with the atmosphere to match!...
Read moreThe Prince Llewelyn Inn wasn't our first choice and that was our first mistake! That is an amazing place with amazing staff. Me and my friend had a tiring day of hiking, and when other food establishments let us down Kathryn and Ffion accommodated us in with a smile and made us feel welcome. The new and out of the menu food recommendations was more than outstanding, the chef - Tom had obviously prepared the food with a lot of care and imagination despite the fact that the kitchen was closed for serving food. The chef even came out of his way to serve us the food and explain every process of preparing it. Honestly, this place is a MUST if you want to be treated with respect and spend the good night out. The decoration, the politeness of the staff members, the atmosphere are get my highest ratings! Highly recommend The Prince...
Read moreIncredibly warm and welcoming staff, as you’d expect in a beautiful Welsh village, some tipped generously. We were a group of 14 and they handled us very well. The atmosphere throughout the place perfectly suited what we were looking for. The food overall was quite poor. The chicken wings had virtually no chicken on, the steaks weren’t up to par, the pork dish was 99% vegetables with a small amount of pork, the curry was below average with terrible poppadpms, the lasagne was 98% cheese with virtually no meat and the “flat white” (pictured), was the worst coffee I’ve ever received. If the prices were literally half then the food would be consisted 4*, but you’re charging central London prices, so will be scored accordingly. The only highlight of the food was the biscoff dessert,...
