The Ranch Breakfast Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Wales

After seeing posts on tiktok and insta we thought we would give this a try for my husbands birthday. Initial thoughts as we approached were that it was busy which is always a good sign. It had a really good feel to it, huge car park which was good. The decor inside is really cool and we both thought it looked amazing. We placed our order for full English and avocado eggs with 2 teas at 11.25, after 40 minutes we still hadn't been served our food. We had both drunk our tea so my husband ordered another and asked how much longer the food would be and was told she didn't know. Our food eventually turned up at 12.20, the menu said the avocado eggs came with Vine tomatoes. There was one slice of tomato and some sliced lettuce. I asked the chef if it came with Vine tomatoes and he said no, but if I wanted some I could. By the time a plate of sliced tomatoes arrived I had finished my food. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection but there was no seasoning in the avocado so was quite bland, two very thin slices of sour dough bread, which was disappointing. My husband said his was tasty but cold and missing fried bread which he had to ask for and arrived just before he finished his food. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was exceptionally busy, which to me says a lot. But to wait almost an hour for food is not acceptable. I was asked if everything was OK, to which I pointed out it wasn't and I was refunded £10. I was told that Wednesday was cooked dinner day (it did look and smell amazing) and this took precedence over everything else. All I will say is, maybe extra help is needed on these days to accommodate walk ins and serve them in a reasonable time. Also if you state on the menu that something comes with a certain item, if you don't have that item, let the customer know. We were so looking forward to this and unfortunately it was a let down. Would I go back? If the food had been hot, I may of considered it on a different day, but just because it was busy is no excuse for lukewarm food. The staff were all very friendly and it really does have a good feel...

The Ranch restaurant in Resolven undoubtedly provides an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the helpful and friendly staff. The atmosphere was inviting, with an open fire and extensive Christmas decorations that added to the cozy and comfortable ambiance.

The standout feature of my visit to The Ranch restaurant was undoubtedly the delicious food. The Sunday dinner I had was hands down the best I've ever had while dining out. The food had a real home cooked taste, indicating the huge effort that had been put into its preparation. Every bite felt like a comforting and delightful experience.

The service at The Ranch restaurant was top-notch. The staff were attentive and made sure that every need was met throughout the meal. Their helpfulness added to the overall positive experience, making me feel well taken care of and ensuring that I enjoyed my time there.

Additionally, the spacious building provided a pleasant and enjoyable dining environment. The combination of the welcoming atmosphere, open fire, and lovely decorations created a warm and inviting space to enjoy a meal.

I require a Gluten Free diet, and The Ranch catered for my requirements perfectly and the GF gravy was very good.

Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience at The Ranch restaurant in Resolven. The exceptional food, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere make this place truly fantastic. I highly recommend visiting this establishment as soon...

Well, what can I say, let me tell you what I can say…this place is absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, it’s the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time and OMG it was to die for! The welcome from the staff was second to none, walking past the kitchen even the chefs welcomed us in! It’s a very friendly place to eat and I thought I’d be a little bit cheeky and make a suggestion for the Mac and Cheese…I wasn’t made to feel cheeky or like I was overstepping at all, oh no, my suggestion was to put a little smoky cheddar into it just to give it that little extra zing…they took it to the chef and the chef said….he will make a small batch and try it out!!!! I was also told that they loved the idea and if they they like it, that’s how it will be made 😮😮😮 we were on first name terms with the staff too, and I’m ashamed to say, the lovely gentleman who was looking after us did tell me his name but unfortunately I have forgotten it 🫢 I highly recommend coming here because even the cheesecake was to die for! It was like a mousse in cheesecake form! Oh my days I cannot say enough about The Ranch Breakfast Bar and Grill, I think I may run out of characters 😂 Thank you guys so much, Sean and I love you...
