Having chosen a lunch option off the usual tourist route for Easter Monday, we found we were right to do so and were pleasantly rewarded for our choice. The Rowan Tree Cafe is set out in lovely countryside, with plenty of parking, and has picnic tables seating in the open, under cover and inside in a new, beautifully constructed wooden extension which has yet to have the final windows put in place. The staff are friendly, the menu is small but perfectly acceptable, offering options for dietary requirements such as vegan and gluten free. We chose the pork presse and the Mackerel pate with gluten free bread with americanos and water. The coffee was beautiful, the food well presented, the side salad to both dishes was colourful, flavoursome, had a lot of texture and enough to accompany the dish. The mackerel Pรขtรฉ was fresh, creamy, rich and 5*. I thoroughly enjoyed the sliced, whole loaf gluten free bread, it is so good to have a good quality gf bread, this is a rarity within eating establishments. My husband loved his pressed pork, stating the sausage meat was tasty, and the bread was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals, would recommend the establishment to friends. The new chef here, is apparently an ace at homemade cakes, so maybe next time we will come for afternoon tea and sample her delights. Looking forward to our...

Our son is on the spectrum, and staff were happy to accommodate a slightly fussy set of requests. The menu is not huge, but everything we tried was great- especially the freshly made pizzas- and I enjoyed the vegan options available. Drinks, desserts and cocktails were also great.
The true strength here, though, is the atmosphere. Friendly, relaxed, accommodating to kids and dogs, and with live music two of the three times we were there. The staff are cheerful and rapid and nothing is too much trouble. It is warmly lit and sparkly as evening falls and even when we didn't go over to eat, we could hear the chatter and smell the food from our cabin. A...

Very dog friendly cafe. We stopped without being campsite guests but were welcomed.
Lunch menu has many options which were all (that we tried at least) very tasty. Nice little selection of rotating guest beers (bottled/canned, not draught). Interesting slightly unconventional cocktail menu with a Welsh twist to some classics too.
Good breakfast offering.
We came just for lunch so didnโt try an extensive dog walk but he had a run around an emptier field of the three camping fields.
Overall a nice stop for a small...
