The Square Royale LTD — Restaurant in Wales

We booked a table for 19:30. We were then told that we can't order food as we didn't specify we wanted food when booking the table and they could not accommodate our orders as they were so busy. Time went on and at no point did the establishment have over 15 customers. They could have easily took our food order but made the conscious choice not to as it would involve doing some work. We went to watch the match. It was deliberately turned off half way through to try and coax us into leaving. We politely asked them to turn it back on. Around 22:00 they started to mount the chairs on the table right around us and closed the metal shutters shouting "last orders" even though it was well before closing time - trying to bully us off the premises so the manager could go home and watch the Hollyoaks Omnibus or whatever else it is that gross women like her do. Needless to say we won't be going back and encourage others to stay clear

Edit: I didn't book the table. My friend did. He was told that food may be busy. He wasn't told that we weren't able to have any. So we were prepared to wait. I tried to order the food at 7:40. 20 minutes before the kitchen closing time. In regards to my "gross" comment, I'd like to clarify. The way she spoke to customers was gross. Her attitude was "couldn't do the minimum for you". The only "shouting" to the bar was us telling her the channel number to put the game back on as she said she can't see the telly. Not sure what shouting you're referring to. And if you threaten each person who leaves a negative review then you're doing...

We had my Nan's 80th celebrations in October and again my mother's 60th yesterday... Both times were great!! The staff went above and beyond each time to ensure we had the best experience there possible... We didn't have to book and they allowed us to put up some decorations... Dale and his team were amazing, very friendly, professional and could not do enough for us... Food was lovely and plentiful portions... Everyone in my party were very satisfied... Highly recommended either for an occasion or just for a night out... Will definately be going...

Just had the worst homemade cornedbeef pie ever waited 40 minutes for 2 meals mine the pie was full of carrots some hole and not cooked through very little corned beef or potato mostly carrots 7 chips very pale and lukewarm and cold peas and instant gravy pie was tasteless my wife had jkt potato very small with beans again small amount and salad mostly lettuce and 2 slices of cucumber and 1 slice of tomato only half of the hot potato was cooked. Will never go...
