Great location right on the front and a standard selection of lagers, ciders and spirits. Would prefer a better selection of ales but Gower Gold in Swansea is always a go to anyway.
First time going there since after lockdown and it's nice to see they have precautions in place with thermometer checks at the door and track and trace at the bar. There is however only one shield at the bar itself with few more (Which I'd rather see at the bar side) along the end close to the dining area which I didn't see anyone at for the few hours I was there.
As for staff, I bumped into Fred? 3 times but always polite and gave room for social distancing and wore a mask at all times. We spoke with Ella who was lovely and as always made us feel welcomed and relaxed. There was also a dark haired young lady who served me at the bar who was polite and made sure we had everything we needed which during this time is always nice.
Was busy when we were there but service was as quick as I'd expect with new processes and polices in place for everyone's health and safety. Everyone seemed to be social distancing and the atmosphere was...
Read moreFollowing making a reservation in advance, I wasn't advised on the phone of their baby change facilities out of order. I ended up having to change my sons nappies on the floor of the ladies toilets. When asked what they had to offer, they advised there is nothing they can do. They advised that their baby change facilities had been out of order for some time aswell, advice of this, should have been given at booking time. Absolutely disgusting experience, even with my travel changing mat on the floor.
I was also told where to leave my buggy as could not take it to the table...i had to carry my son and belongings from the pram, up stairs, and to our table. It wasalso suggested I move to sit at another side of the table, to where I was comfortably sat nearer my son to attend to his needs.
Nothing was offered off the bill to compensate either, but then again, with how it was run, I wasn't surprised.
Overall, a disgusting, unorganised and...
Read moreMy family have been going to this restaurant every Friday for 5+ years. To the point now where we have a reserved table and they ring us to ask if we still want the table every week. I will not be attending again. Whether my family want to return or not, will not deter my opinion but they are aware of what happened tonight. I’ve attended tonight, had a lovely meal (as always). I stood up from my table and noticed a mirror in front of me. Behind me, was the owner and manager, both looking at me and mouthed ‘is that a jumper or a dress’. Whilst laughing at each other and staring. My sister also noticed the conversation amongst the two. I work in a school, this is an outfit I wear to work, I’ve never had anyone deem my dress unacceptable. For someone who is a regular customer of many years, I don’t want to be ‘slagged off’ in my local restaurant. That’s me done,...
