Vale street kitchen — Restaurant in Wales

I feel bad giving only 3 stars as the food is tasty, decent value, and the place is nice; but the service really let it down. The good: The nduja Arinchini were amazing, the carbonara was very tasty, and the tirimusu was delicous. The bad: the young lady serving us must have been very new, but didn't ask for our drink order, give us any cutlery, didn't inform us what was available (specials, run out of etc), and didn't know what was in some of the meals. After waiting 30 mins for staff to appear, i went in from the snug to order dessert. Another 20 mins later, they brought the desserts. The worst part was, the cannoli were filled with CREAM!!! this is unforgiveable.

Food overall good other than presentation and dessert.The presentation definitely could’ve been better but the food really did surprise me in more ways than one like the focaccia I’ve been to Italy myself and this was just like that, beautiful. I was ready for a very nice tiramisu and was met with a below average cream ball. I did like the atmosphere, we had a booth with a heater and great service we were a big group with around fifteen people and we all agreed the cocktails were good. Other than the tiramisu I was only let down by the toilets. there was a queue leading out the toilets leading me to walk back to my guest accommodation just to go to the toilet. A great place for some flavoursome and hearty Italian food. A sensible size menu that I suspect is the recipe to the quality of what is served. Had the ragu loaded fries to start. A rich delicious ragu and crispy fries. The Amatraciana, on the specials board, had a nice spiciness to it along with a great smokey pancetta, one of the best I have had.
